Exactly. :deal Chins haven't gotten worse, there are just more horrible chins at the top of the food chain because corrupt promoters see someone like say I don't know... An American heavyweight... They build him up to be a massive puncher despite the fact that he has a horrible chin. Many hardcore fans see through this and it makes them mad... Without management tactics this guy wouldn't be able to get on TV, let alone fight a man with a serious medical condition for a title. I will say though, it makes it 100x more satisfiying to see their chin get smashed...
Yes, chins have definitely gotten a lot worst. It is not the boxers faults though. It is a simple matter of evolution. As our society becomes more civilized, we have less need for good chins than we would back in the caveman days. Take Provodnikov for example. Sure, his chin is titanium today, but back in the 50's he would be knocking people out with his chin alone. Amir Khan would have at least had a chin back then. If Jake Lamotta was born today, he would have a chin like Eric Crumble by the time he was old enough to fight. Just facts of nature.
