Are Cintron/Martinez and Chavez/Vera I the worst robberies ever?

Naww , Canelo is not winning this fight just because he landed 1 clean uppercut and cut Lara . The bodyshots don't count at all because majority of it was not clean work . a Frustrated Canelo was very ineffective while Lara was picking him off with 1,2s . The wrong man won the fight that night .

Great Pick and I agree . This robbery is often forgotten because of how quickly Ortiz career went down the drain .

Bodyshots definitely matter , but they have to land clean in order for it to count . Agree to disagree . That's fine with me .

I'm Rican, and I remember my grandpa cringing and saying Trinidad got a gift against DLH. Speaking of DLH, what about DLH vs Sturm?

A close fight can still end up as a robbery .
This fight was a fine example of that . I don't believe Oscar dominated Tito like everyone one says . But he still put that L on Tito's forehead regardless .

DLH vs Sturm was a clear robbery. Problem is, robberies in boxing are so prevalent, people will classify it under the "close fight therefore its not that bad" type of robbery.

George Foreman vs Axel Schulz was a "next-level" kind of robbery, too. To properly appreciate it, you've got to take the whole thing into account:

    1) Arum bribes the IBF to rank the unknown Schulz so his spot on the George Foreman Retirement Tour can ring up as an official defense.

    2) Schulz, to everyone's surprise, actually wins the fight, which was the plot twist nobody wanted. Schulz gets robbed.

    3) To save face*, the IBF orders a rematch. (Save face= Schulz's promoter Ced Kushner paying/being extorted by the IBF for $100,000 to secure the rematch)

    4) Foreman vacates the belt instead of granting it. Botha-Schulz is now scheduled for the vacant title.

    5) Schulz proceeds to beat the Don King-promoted Botha, only to lose on the cards IN HIS OWN BACK YARD.

    6) Botha loses the belt when he becomes the first fighter in a title fight to test positive to steroids.

    7) The tradition of fighters who test positive for steroids getting a "No Contest" officially on the books instead of a loss begins. This move that basically encourages fighters to keep right on juicing because an NC or ND looks infinitely better than an L on your ledger.

So, not only was Schulz dicked over, but the chain of events that lead to 'roided up fighters not being disqualified as losers also began here.

To explain how bad the martinez cintron robbery was. Most people here say "get the knockout so they cannot rob you".

Martinez was literally robbed of a KO

What was hard to understand initially was what exactly you'd written. I'm guessing English is not your first language?
As for Reid doing the headbutts and low blows, that's absolute bollocks, and Ottke was the one wading in with his head. We all know the ref was corrupt, and yes, he did warn Reid for punching Ottke in the face.

Its been a while since I watched the fight, but I think this is the the bit where Reid is warned for punching Ottke in the face...

Sturm - Chudinov II has to be up there in the fairly recent ones. I get that people may not give a damn cos it wasn't fought on US soil, but it was a title fight. Everything about it stunk to hell - a rematch wasn't even required but yet was somehow mandated, the scorecards were absurd - Fedor outlanded Adnan in 11 out of 12 rounds, and then, to top it all, the result still hasn't been changed to a N/C despite Sturm being popped dirty on both his A and B.
