Are David Haye and Antonio Margarito making huge mistakes?

I believe these two are making huge mistakes.

We have here two chaps who would rather die than quit in the ring, and while we often respect this Gatti-like mentally we need to protect these fighters from themselves.

The injuries suffered to Margarito's eye in the Pacquiao fight, and Haye's toe in preparation for the Vlad fight was horrendous. And while they are being downplayed by the fighters themselves and the promoters in order to make money should these guys get a license after suffering such injuries?

Let's start with Margacheto's eye. The damage to it means it will swell easily and he will not be able to see punches coming further disfiguring his grotesque rodent like face.

Now, let's move onto Haye. A blown up Crusierweight, fighting in the Heavyweight division and taking aim at giant Russian robots who outweigh him by 150lb. Haye made his name as a slickster and his movement will be severely limited as he will have to hobble round the ring to avoid the lumbering Eastern European robots.

Just to have a look at what we are dealing with here. Not for the faint of heart:

I'm more worried about Haye than Margarito.

Close one eye and try and throw a combo at a household pet. Easy.

Now try and throw the same combo standing on one leg. Impossible

This thread is about people who would rather die in the ring than quit, so there is no need to mention Americans ergo nor PED cheats. However I do make reference to Margarito's cheating dubbing him Margacheto.

And I do give Haye kudos for the amount of heart he has, but he clearly has more guts than brains

Nice one. The Furious One™ talks a lot. He's always f**cking talking isn't he. I disagree with him though. I think Bradley (before hooking up with Atlas anyway) is one of the few elite Americans who just say no to PEDs (ergo him trying to take people's heads off with every punch but not being able to crack an egg), and his body is sexy as fuck

 

Haye v Joshua is a good fight. Would fill Wembley that one.

 

That will be fine with AJ. It's only people like Ward and Hopkins who extra duck PED testing. It's will be commissioned by the British Boxing Board of Control anyway so there will be stringent testing anyway.
