Someone told me the other day Daniel's wins aren't credible because aj wasn't himself that night and Hrgovic only lost because of illegal headbutts.

Do you agree with this logic

Hrg got out-worked, he has a poor gas tank and Dubois hands were too quick, AJ always leaves his lead hand too low and you should never lead with an uppercut like that.

Load of bodybuilding fans on here still believing Aj was Mike tyson 2.0

Seriously my favourite are the ones who pretend to dislike him, yet never say a bad word and defend him

Oh and Wilder was not shot at 38, just shyte, but Joshua is shot by mid 30s lol

Aj is media hyped and overrated

Dubois has enough flaws defensively that AJ and Hrgovic definitely can beat him on another night. That being said, let fanboys be fanboys. Liking a team/fighter too much cloud vision and judgement

I think Parker would have beaten him if they had fought.

I am still in shock over the impossible haymaker he landed on Joshua in round 1. It was like, Joshua thought the round was over after a clinch and was just standing there, not in punching range, and Dubois throws himself across the ring and lands a huge overhand out of nowhere..surreal.

AJ hurt Dubois right before Dubois knocked him out. Could have gone the other way. But as far as AJ not being himself, that’s part of the person. It wasn’t the first time AJ freezes up.

Hrgovic was/is in his prime. He just gets uninterested and lazy.

Dubois is disciplined, motivated, and focused. That’s why he had the edge over those guys. Luck got nothing to do with it.

Hrgovic held up well until he got tired, Joshua held up well until Dubois hit him for the first time...

Prime AJ at his best day may have been a closer fight. Could have gone either way those fights.

Dubois IMO always had Hrgovic's number especially in the long-run.

AJ was in his peak condition. Just chose to fight like a stupid man and his chin gave up after a bomb of the shot he should not have taken. No excuses for AJ there, Dubois demolished Joshua who was considered reborn. Great win for DDD. What is AJ played it more defensively like he did under Derrick James and Robert Garcia? We don't know. He definitely would have stood a better chance than with his chin up in the air and hands down. Hrgović says he was sick, but looking at the way he fights, Dubois would beat him anyway in the war of attrition.

Absolutely - his mentality has been inconsistent and sometimes he can be confident and other times he's uncertain and gets caught between styles...

This all goes back to the first Ruiz loss - before that he looked pretty solid and was clearly the best active fighter by a distance, but since then the inconsistencies and both the return of Fury and arrival of Usyk have made that questionable.

In a better era he'd have lost sooner and this probably would've halted his career early... Doesn't change that he was right up there in this weaker era, though.

And not that good - great chin, but limited otherwise.

He's definitely coming into his prime and does look likely to be dominating the next era... The speed he got past Joshua might've had some element of luck, but that's about it.

Because every fighter is shot at the same age, of course... :hang

Cmon Adam, you're better than that.

And let's be completely honest here, it's not like Wilder has been in with legit killers where Joshua was (regardless of whether they were past their best in Wlad and Pov).

It could be argued that both are/were mentally incapable of dealing with losses... In Joshua's case that certainly looks like a big part of the problem - it's less clear with Wilder in light of him fighting guys who were better than anyone he'd beaten after his losses, so entirely possible (and I'd personally argue it's likely) that his level was probably just shown.

    Media hyped? Definitely...

Then again... It just doesn't quite sit right as an accusation when you have Wilder there (hey, you named him) who was hyped up as an equal whilst having nowhere near equivalent achievements.

    As for overrated...
It just depends where on his timeline you're putting the pin - before Ruiz, full of confidence, he'd rate much higher than afterwards (and the failure to deal with losses does hit hard).

The thing is, when we talk about the best of Fury the same point isn't made about it really really mattering where you put down that marker - where Fury was much more hot and cold fullstop, he could look awesome one fight and struggle with someone mediocre in another.

(And of course, when we're talking overrated - well, it just has to be said that Wilder was way more overrated to be considered anywhere near equal - the evidence is unequivocally not there to put him there)

It's clear aren't a fan of Aj, I can tell you don't like him

So you agree that Fury is more shot than usyk due to how many tough fights he's had and his lifestyle? If fighters don't age the same

I bet you don't agree with that
