Calling guys out for fighting tomato can isn't hating.. Wanting to see a fighter fail because you dislike them for personal reasons is hating.
Apart from being jealous as ****, why do you feel the need to bash a professionnal athlete that is dedicated to his sport, and cleans the ring of everyone put in front of him with ease. We all know Bute as not yet had the chance to shut all you guys by facing the top 3 SMW, but, come back here in a year and tell me all the hype around Bute is not justified. Even if he was to loose to Ward, Froch and even the late version of Kessler, he would still be 4th best SMW in the world, and just that, to me, deserve respect. But I guess, you were not listening when respect was taught in your life!!
Researcher: The average radio listener listens for eighteen minutes. The average Howard Stern fan listens for - are you ready for this? - an hour and twenty minutes. Pig Vomit: How can that be? Researcher: Answer most commonly given? "I want to see what he'll say next." Pig Vomit: Okay, fine. But what about the people who hate Stern? Researcher: Good point. The average Stern hater listens for two and a half hours a day. Pig Vomit: But... if they hate him, why do they listen? Researcher: Most common answer? "I want to see what he'll say next."
Casual fans cling to the most popular fighters and don't watch the rest of the sport, so their whole world revolves around discrediting or praising Pac or Floyd. No extreme is out of reach and they certainly don't have any perspective.
Yes they are two half of the same point really... it was a combination of the two. The general fan viewed him as being protected (which fairness isn't exactly true for the stage of his career he was at) and therefore arrogant to be making the comments he was. Therefore the most common comment was "he hasn't fought anyone yet" (of course he wont have after five fights!!) or "he will gt dropped when he fights someone who can punch the cocky b@stard".
IMO haters are good because once their theory or prediction is proven wrong, its fun watching them backtrack and stress a failed opinion. I always have a good time laughing at them!
