Who has anything resembling a legit claim to being the Middleweight champ?

Sturm and Abrahams belts are worthless.

It is a subjective term. But surely 'undisputed champion' simply means that he is undisputably the 'man' in the division.

Anyone who tells me these three guys are not the 'man' in their respective weight classes is just plain wrong.

So from that perspective, they are.

Abraham won his belt due to politics, nothing more.

That was Taylors belt, he never lost it, yet Abraham ends up with it.

Abraham is not a legitimate champion at the moment.

Incorrect. I'll repeat this again. Bell beat Mormeck in January of 2006. Bell was stripped in April of 2006 for refusing to fight Cunningham. Bell then decided to wait another 11 months before rematching Mormeck. Had Bell done the right thing and fought Cunningham, Cunningham might have all 3 major belts right now. Haye is certainly not undisputed.

Every belt has to be picked up somewhere.

Pavlik has beaten one other titlist, a controversial one.

This is rediculous, Bell never lost the belt, you don't lose linearity because the IBF says so.

So are you saying guys should be able to go 15 months without defending their title? How long should they be able to hold up the division and not fight anyone before something is done?

The point is, someone else claimed that Mormeck was stripped of the IBF title. This of course is not true.

Yes, every belt comes from somewhere, and Pavliks came from Taylor, so did Abrahams; Pavlik KO'd Taylor, Abraham has never fought him.

Pavliks belts are the true belts, all 4 belts were unified, Taylor took that lineage, Pavlik took it from Taylor, Abraham is not part of the lineage.
