It seems like the David Haye hypers are really afraid that he may have to fight at top contender to prove his worth in the division. Why is that? Why is everyone so pressed on squeezing a fight in between Haye and the Wlad right away? Everyone with a brain realizes that the more hype that builds, the bigger the fight would be. In reality, the best case scenario would be if Haye fought on an undercard of say.. Wlad vs Arreola... and Haye fought against someone the likes of Chambers, S. Ibragimov, Povetkin, Tony Thompson, Brock, ect... and prove his worth in the division. Not only would it show that Haye can compete at the top level against Heavyweights, but it would also bring more attention to both fighters, and the possibility of a huge mega fight between the two. Is everyone just afraid that Haye wouldn't make it past the fighters mentioned? I like Haye, and I think that he is exciting as hell to watch, and has a very exciting personality... but to be honest, he has beat a fringe top 40 heavyweight, who was over the hill at that.. and really hasn't proven himself in a way that would suggest he should be leapfrogging other top heavyweights for a shot at Wlad.

I think that if both fighters play their cards right... we could end up having a MEGA fight on our hands. However, I don't think that the fight will be nearly as big if they fight before Haye actually beats someone near the top first. In reality, Wlad wouldn't stand anything to gain from that, because everyone would just call Haye a blown up cruiser who was unproven at Heavyweight. The only problem that I see is that I honsestly feel that Haye is going to seriously struggle to beat anyone in the top 5... or even top 10 for that matter.

Chambers, Ibragimov, Povetkin, Thompson, Brock, wheover.

    They all got KO'd.

Haye has proved his worth, moreso than Chris Arreola.

Perhaps you should be asking if Wladimir is the one who's afraid?

I'm not a David Haye fan, but watching a fighter prove himself or attempt to do so, is one of many reasons to love and follow the sport.

Haye's fans don't watch him just for his interviews.

    Silly question.

I don't think that anything in that post even made sense.

Hyae's chances against Wlad or Vitali are somewhat good as Wlad has an average chin and freezes in bad conditions and Vitali has a bit of rust working after 1 fight in 4 years.
Still I'd favor both to beat him, especially Vitali.

Then why is it that so many people are acting like The Heavyweight Champion is ducking a challenger who hasn't even beat a top 20 Heavyweight yet? Talking about knocking Wladimir Klitschko out doesn't earn you a shot at the title. Anyone can smack talk... however, does that mean that the Champion must fight every smack talker in the world in his next fight or he is ducking them? It doesn't even make sense. Everytime people bring up Haye fighting someone else in the meantime people respond with.. well, that fight would be too dangerous... or just start acting like he should only be fighting Wlad, and that Klitschko is ducking him. I mean... don't you have to actually become a true contender by beating some top fighters within a division before anyone can reasonably believe that the Champ is avoiding them?

Look how long Wlad called out Lennox Lewis. Wlad was Lewis' number 1 contender by Ring Mag for OVER TWO YEARS!! Wlad was actually beating top fighters, and even held the WBO title. Yet... people didn't say much about it... and Wlad actually had a legit case that he was being avoided. Haye has beat a fringe top 40 fighter and people act like he is leaps and bounds above everyone in the division... why? Because he says so? The man didn't even have a stellar resume at Cruiser, and was knocked out in that division. So... it just really makes no sense.

    Geezus.

Why shouldn't Haye get his shot now? Barrett was much more than a 'fringe top 40' contender, and he's proven himself a lot more than Chris Arreola - who Wladimir is scheduled to fight, yes? Keeping up are we?

Wlad told Haye he had to prove himself first and then they would fight. So why is he fighting an even more 'unproven' guy in Chris Arreola, who only has wins over Travis Walker and DQ win over Chazz Witherspoon on his record?

The fact is once Wlad fights and beat Arreola, Povetkin will be back from injury, and he'll get a shot.

Wlad will make Haye keep waiting and waiting, prolonging the fight for as long as he can.

Why do you think the Kiltschko camp have put forward Vitali as the first Klitschko that Haye should face? Because they know the chances are Vitali will beat him, therefore Wladimir doesn't have to continue ducking him behind his mandatories.

Wlad ducking 214lb CW Haye? This is getting ridiculous.

So what that Haye has only had 2 fights at heavyweight, the guy is more exciting than any heavyweight out there today, he was the undisputed Cruiserweight Champ beating everyone there was to beat and the reason the majority of people want to see him take on Wlad next is because he is the only heavyweight with a chance of beating either Klit(especially Wlad who i honestly believe he would destroy).

Why would we want to see Wlad take on a fat bum like Arreola who's proven himself against nobody and who would'nt have a chance, he's pathetically slow and easy to hit.

How can you say he deserves a shot at Wlad more than Haye?

Do a poll of who is the best heavyweight after the Klits or who you want to fight Wlad next and i guarantee the clear winner will be David Haye, its the fight the public want and its the fight that should happen, simple as.

I don't think that Haye is any more exciting than Arreola is. He also isn't as proven at heavyweight as Arreola is.

I think that you, along with every other person hyping Haye right now has posted is proving my point. You guys are simply afraid of him actually having to prove his worth in the division by beating a top opponent before leaping everyone for a title shot. If you have no faith in Haye being able to beat another top heavyweight... or even have enough faith in him beating a 38 year old, injury riddled Vitali who has only fought once is the past 5 years... then obviously you know deep down that he doesn't deserve a shot at Wlad. I know exactly what it is... First off... you guys get practically brainwashed by what any fighter says. Some fans actually believe all of bull**** that smack talkers say. It's honestly quite amazing. Had Haye just moved to the Heavyweight division without running his mouth, nobody would even be saying anything right now. However, he pulls some antics, and runs his mouth... and everyone acts like he immediately needs a title shot. Second... all of the people who are hyping Haye... also seem to dislike Wlad. People are hoping that Haye fights Wlad right away because it is a no lose situation for the haters. If Haye would happen to pull of an upset, they could go nuts... if Wlad wins, they can claim that Haye was just a blown up cruiser who was completely unproven at heavyweight. Which is exactly why it makes much more sense for Haye to actually prove his worth in the division first... that way Wlad actually has something to gain by winning this fight. If you think that Wlad wins over his critics by taking this fight and knocking out Haye... obviously you haven't followed his career that much. Wlad will never win over his critics because their are a handful of people who simply hate the fact that he is ruling the division.

Anyone acting like the Champion is ducking a fighter who hasn't beat anyone in the top 20 is clearly out of their minds. The ONLY reason why you wouldn't want to see Haye prove himself first.. is because you don't think that he can.

Wlad beat a better version of Barrett 8 years ago.

If Haye beating Barrett in 2008 is proving something than that is hilarious.

Barrett could not even get pass Rahman for christ sakes!

I can already hear Haye's Glass Jaw shattering.

I for one hope Haye lives up to his word and fights Vitali as haye will get destroyed.

Haye is now trying to duck Vitali and fight Wlad.

Why doesn't Haye- if he's serious about being a HW- simply fight a top-10 fighter. He could take his pick. If he wins, all the doubters (including me) would shut up and say he's deserving of a title shot. But it won't happen.
