he didn't stay at heavyweight because when he was younger he didn't find it as ahrd to make cruiserweight and in terms of boxing greatness being cruiserweight champ and heavyweight champ is better than just being one or the other.
In temrs of fighting between now and then i think he might do if he could get a decent fight i.e valeuv, chagev someone like that but he would rather fight a top guy for a title than tread water figh8itng average guys. To be fair if you look at how many fights he has had he isn't one for just fighting average guys to build up his record. If he hadn't ****ed up against thompson years ago i think he would have been cruiserweight championafter about 18 fights.

neither Haye or Areola have fought anyone in the top 15 to be worthy of a title shot but Areola is the only American and Haye is worshipped in England , Haye has great crusierweight Credentials so I guess that gives him a boast, I think he has talent and with the other champs tied up the picking are slim for money fights

the ridiculous thing about some of the posts on here is that people are saying david haye needs to prove himself as a hw to deserve a shot, but half the people writing that write on other posts saying taylor froch, or pacman hatton are good fights for 2009, but what has taylor done at 168 apart from beat a shot jeff lacy, and pac man has never even fought at 140 before, but no-one has a problem with this, in my opinion david haye proved himself by unifying belts a cruiser which is more deserving of a hw title shot, than beating up a 40 year old james toney, or making sam peter or oleg maskaev, look stupid as they have zero speed

in temrs of the admake thing i understand your point about the wins but it is a poor example as adamek would never be a heavyweight fighter,

Lets face facts Haye can't lose - unless he gets badly injured. Win or lose he comes out a winner.

Come off it, you know it's unrealistic for him to risk losing before a megafight like that. It would absolutely murder the interest in a fight like that. It doesn't make much sense for him to do that. The Heavyweight division is weak as hell. Haye had much tougher opposition at Cruiserweight. Some of the boxers there could actually "box".

That being said, I hate the fact that the fight has to take place in ****ing June. Why don't they just set it for next year while they're at it, so that Vladimir can start fighting one fight a year. I mean for a fighter that fights such less talented fighters in his boring style, he fights way too little.

We have already gone over the first part a million times. The lighter weights are NOTHING like the heavyweight division.

I completely disagree with your second part. You think that Enzo, or old Mormeck beat James Toney or Sam Peter? Hell no. Furthermore... they are NOT heavyweights.

To be honest.. there were tougher fights out there in the Cruiserweight division that Haye didn't even take. Everyone wanted to see Haye fight Cunningham. He didn't even finish cleaning out that division. Look at Evander Holyfield... he completely cleaned up Cruiserweight... and STILL proved himself at heavyweight before getting a title shot.

i don't know where you get this cunnigham stuff from even on this site the only eprson that wanted a ahye cunningham fight was big reg, we can see now that haye would have ****ed up cunningham badly after he almoost got stopped by the crude and not big hitting adamek.

Here we go again with the nonsense.

First off.. he is fighting top contenders. Second... he fought 3 times last year. A unification fight against Ibragimov, a mandatory against the #1 contender in Tony Thompson, and was supposed to fight again against another #1 contender in Povetkin.... who pulled out... so then Wlad still kept the date, and fought the next highest available contender in Rahman. Now.. if you want to know why the fight would have to be in June... it doesn't take a rocket scientist. First of all... they want to do the fight outside in a soccer stadium... should they do it in Feb? Second, in order to properly promote ANY big boxing event, you need at least 6 months. Which is why Wlad is currently thinking about fighting Arreola, Haye, and Povetkin.... trying to fit them all in there somehow. You are complaining about a guy who keeps fighting nothing but top contenders? What sort of Champ do you want? The kind that fights D level fighters once a year while he hides behind his promoter?
