Today's HW beltholders are far more entertaining to watch than Byrd or Ruiz. :nono

Remember Ruiz vs. Oquendo? Or the even worse Byrd vs. TOS?

Wladimir has never been in as boring of a fight as either of those.

I rest my case. :deal :bart

    I agree 100%.

When Tyson was crushing tomato cans on his way to becoming the youngest HW champion ever he was fighting many no-names & he was very dominate. He was also clearly head & shoulders above most of his competition coming out of prison, McNeeley anyone?

Somehow that was okay because the dominate HW was an American.

Surely you are not saying that having guys like Wlad and Chagaev holding belts is worse than having talentless clubfighter John Ruiz holding a belt illegitimately?? :nut

At least these guys have SKILLS and don't fake "low blows" or hold all the time to "win" fights!!:patsch

Let's not forget the 3 undeserved title shots for Andrew Golota. Yes I think he beat Byrd & Ruiz but he was steam rolled by Brewster :yep

Those fights were all kinda fun to watch but it wasn't for the Sweet Science or anything like that. More like a celebration of mediocre fighters..................

I cant stand the guys who claim Klitschko fights are boring. Wlad has an helluva punch and hes knocking out almost every opponent! And Chagaev is not boring, shurely more entertaining than Ruiz and Byrd. Come September we will have another exciting champion with Peter. Besides that whe have some verry interesting up comming prospects.

The only people claiming that Wlad's fights are boring are the people who are pissed off that WK keeps winning in dominate fashion.

Take for example that Klit hater Suge White. He wants Wlad to go toe to toe with whatever big punchers he personally thinks are worthy of a shot such as that slow plodder Peter or that other no stamina bonehead Briggs.

Even though Wlad easily beat Peter he says he didn't walk out & leave his chin there to be hit like Jeremy Williams did. Well we all know how that fight ended & I'm glad Wlad's too smart of a fighter to let that happen to him from such a crude, slow, overated boxer like Peter. Instead Wlad played to his strengths & to Peter's weaknesses, just as any boxer should if they are good enough to dictate the pace & range like Wladimir does.

Exactly ! Kinda sad how insecure many ESB posters are that their "kind" or what they're used to seeing isn't dominating the HWT scene. It's funny how people claim they're all for "diversity" when they're on the oustside looking in. Turn the tables around and they're as big a bigot - often worse - than anyone else. :-( For about 50 years the HWT boxing was very un diverse. Mostly US fighters & mostly black US champs. Now that it has become more varied, all of a sudden it's "weak". Bull****. I'm an American too (of East Euro decent).
World class hater. He has said Wlad employed the grab & jab to defeat Peter. Suge must hate Ali, who perfected the grab n jab. :yep
I wonder if Suge and other Wlad haters have Ali in their top 10 all time

Good posts by dragosuhail & others above :good
