    both guy's promoters said they want the fight, but I doubt it happens, both will milk their titles as long as possible before a unification fight is even discussed, Huck and Wlod are definitely #1 and 2, Hernandez has been riddled with injuries, and hasn't fought in a while now

    I dont get why Wlod is contemplating moving to heavyweight. He should be trying to lure Adamek to fight for his belt.

    The current cruiserweight division COULD be one of the most exciting divisions in boxing. However, it is a problem that the entire division has become almost a nonentity in America, with most of the division's major fights over the past 2-3 years having taken place in Germany. Eddie Chambers could have gone some way towards rectifying this, but he had that horrible loss to Mchunu. Another problem is that all of the division's top fighters have gotten stuck in a series of rematches (Huck vs Afolabi, Arslan; Wlodarczyk vs Fragomeni, Palacios; Hernandez vs Cunningham) that have helped prevent the very best from fighting each other. The division badly needs a Huck vs Wlodarczyk fight, AND a Top Ten caliber American fighter, AND some of the hot prospects to step up quickly. Otherwise, the cruiserweight division will continue to remain a division of unrealized potential.

    It already is

    There isn't much American interest in the lightest divisions either but that doesn't stop them being vibrant & entertaining. Cruiser is popular in Europe & around the world.

    Plenty of prospects have stepped it up this year, Makabu vs Kucher, Masternek vs Drozd, Chakhkiev vs Wlod, Kiladze vs Kalenga.

    Unifications would be great but I don't see the need for an American in the top 10.

    That makes too much sense from a fan perspective for a promoter to make it happen... cause that's how boxing works for some reason.:huh
