Are Jermain Taylor's wins over Hopkins underrated?

I didn't expect you to respond to those questions, and I haven't been disappointed in that regard.

 

Its not that they are underated as much as Hopkins middleweight reign is vastly overated and his defences are padded with fighters who are no better than the ones in todays 160 division.

Hopkins whilst a great fighter is a fighter who only takes calculated risks.

They are underrated, especially considering some other people get an SD over Hopkins and get given the ATG status.

 

and JT was happy to rematch, he was no cowardzaghe running in gibbering fear from a 39 year olds rematch, nevermind a 40something rematch (which would be a comically funny thing to do)

 

JT did better than calzaghe twice over.

JT would destroy JC, one can see why JC hid in Wales for so long.

Hopkins may be a freak of nature but I think he has been matched very smartly during his career. I wouldn't rank him along the most skilled athletes of his time(s). That said, these are very good victories for Taylor.

It's pretty apparent WHY he says that, the real question is, does he honestly believe it?

 

Hard to say. He lies so much I have no idea what's going on in his head. Then when he gets caught out in a lie or gets tested, he simply refuses to respond. Pretty funny actually.

But after Pavlik lost to Hopkins, its ok to kind of rate them higher.
