Are Kovalev vs Ward (1&2) the most egregious robberies ever?

Kov was robbed first time I agree
I also 100% agree that GGG ducked the move up. It was a much more prosperous division, yet he hung around to fight nobodies

I'm far from a GGG hater. He was a brilliant boxer/fighter, but he definitely could have shown more ambition

 

Has to do more with entertainment IMO. Ward wasn't very fan friendly. 3G was very fan friendly. As of course, are many Mexican boxers.

Look at the garbage Floyd gets on here for who he ducked. Some of it might be warranted but can you compare Gennadis resume to his? It isn't even in the same ball park

I just don't get the love for a guy that has the likes of Murray and Geale types as top wins?

 

There are similar or worse robberies, ggg v Canelo 1 and to a slightly less degree 2, Loma v Haney, Taylor v Catterall, Pacquiao v Bradley plus the rest

 

There's a ton of reasons fans hate boxers. F*ck, that's a big part of being a fan of someone or a team. It's hating others. That's how it's been for ages, and how it will be in the future.

Maybe people hate floyd because he's an insecure women beater? And resumes or records have zilch to do with it. No one has to be a fan of someone because they are undefeated. Nor does anyone have to form serious hate for a guy w/ a less then stellar resume.

Canelo gets his hate for his own reasons. Sometimes being a diva turns people off. Why did a lot of Mexicans Hate Oscar?? Same reason. Ain't no rhyme or reason about it.

He's actually fought quote a bit of top 10 MWs. But that's your prerogative. Can hate whom you want. Hate just seems a weird route to take, as if it's personal. Not to mention, being a foreigner doesn't present to you the opportunities an American fighter gets. And being a fan of only cash cows or P4P type winners seems like bandwagoning to me. Sounds like you can't be a fan of prospects either, because, you know, they don't fight top comp either.

I think the first was a clear Kovalev victory. I never saw the argument for Ward taking 7 of the rounds.
