I disagree strongly. His lack of defense and tendency to loop the right hand presents many opportunities for pressure fighters.

I don't disagree with you. I just meant that Bowe poses a unique problem for a smaller man. The solution to getting past Bowes jab isn't as simple as get inside, cuz Bowe is dangerous there as well.

Whaaaaa? Frazier, undefeated when he beat Ali in FOTC, was not a tope tier swarmer?
Besides having the greatest left hook maybe ever, he would not have been such a high volume puncher if that is all he had.
That he was less balanced in his attack than many does not mean this is the only way to be great.

Babe Ruth & Ted Williams & steroidal Bonds had no real fielding or base stealing skills.
They were still among the very best ever-or arguably #1-because of how good they were at things that had disproportionate impact, such as the home run & getting on base.

Frazier also had superb stamina, toughness, workrate, & even Ali often found him difficult to nail clean.
He was very possibly the greatest swarmer ever.

Ill take Dempsey over him, he had 2 hands the better lead hook than frazier, He can counter and lead , was better on the inside than frazier, didnt struggle against any type of boxer (in his prime)

It is fine to choose Dempsey as #1, however saying Frazier is not an elite or tier 1 swarmer is completely indefensible.

But I take Frazier. Sure better 2 hands-but Frazier was busier & for longer in a fight.
Better lead hook? That I am very skeptical about, although Dempsey could really hook, nobody had the consistency & volume of Frazier there.
Better on the inside? I really see the opposite. Frazier was superb on the inside-& threw his right often there. Also grappled really well & was stronger than Dempsey.

He was very good against all types of boxers.
But he did struggle, he would have *lost* against Firpo if he was not illegally pushed back into the ring.
He was losing to Sharkey until Sharkey turned to complain about a low blow & Dempsey iced him.
    These were prime fights.

Now both guys too some easy touches as champions. Dempsey fighting too infrequently too.
But I think Frazier clearly had better competition when you consider their best victories & quality of the competition.

Liston would have remained champ until he met Foreman, and George would still be champ now, were it not for..... keep well.

son no way to slow and easy to read George was for most but he never fought the best joe and he never fought anybody like Dempsey who was aggresive and was good at timing shots who was short

Although not 100% a swarmer, Tyson was better than both

Liston beats up Frazier way easier than Foreman. Liston was a far better boxer.

Strange how some seem to think it's a baiter thread.

Maybe underlying issues they are attempting to hide?

    Simply avoid them then.
I avoid pretty much all of the daily heavyweight drivel.
Maybe your hatred of certain types prevent this?
