I have heard Diego being mentioned as a cherrypick for Floyd many times, hell they call Canelo, Cotto, Mosley, Marquez, Hatton, cherrypicks for Floyd!!

Lol PAC lost to Morales!!! He didn't take the rematch straight away, he fought him coming off losses and drained him down 5lbs!!!!!

I think the first Barerra fight is a great win Morales on the other hand lost 6 straight fights after Pac I and if you go one fight before Erik was 1/7 Pacs wins over Morales aren't even better than May's win over Baldomir. The Barerra fight is maybe slightly higher than Castillo II Barrera is higher all time but Castillo is widely considered the best LW in 20 years.

try 4 fights. But the loss to Diaz is usually regarded as a bad decision.

The only really bad loss there was to Raheem and Morales was famous for underestimated his opponents and not taking them seriously. He was coming up a division maybe didn't condition himself to the best for that bout.

I don't think morales was shot to the degree many think he was. he had that loss to raheem but it was more of an anomaly and outlier. if we don't count the loss to diaz (as like 80% of people think erik won that fight) he was undefeated for 5 (!) whole years after his trilogy with pacquiao.

i personally consider pacquiao's resume slightly better than mayweather's because he fought two of the best in his division in morales and barrera.

i think there is an argument to be made that pacquiao's 2008 win over marquez is better than may weather 2009 win.

Yes, Pacquiao won the 2008 fight by a one point SD. Some believe he lost it just. It was a close fight. But it was a lineal fight against prime Marquez in possibly his best ever division.

Mayweather fought a Marquez with love handles and cheated him on the scales.

For similar reasons even though Pacquiao's win was way more decision, I rank Mayweather's win over DLH slightly higher due to the superior condition DLH was in, fighting in his more natural weight class.

Probably, point being it's a stupid way to look at it. 2 single boxers outweighs a entire resume lol.

pretty much sums up theftjr's legacy.

They are both great fighters, the sooner everyone just embraces this the better. You can't discredit Floyd's win over JMM for a 2lb weight difference and then say Floyd should fight GGG in the next sentence,it's a complete contradiction.

Floyd has excellent wins and has remained undefeated. This is an amazing accomplishment to maintain that type of discipline over nearly 20 years. PAC man also has been in some great fights, yes he has been knocked out and fought at catch weights but he is a smaller man moving up just like Floyd. You can pick apart any fighter over the years and I literally mean ANY!!!

Didn't Ali lose to a pro with only 7 fights? In today's era he would be destroyed for taking on a 'green' novice in Spinks regardless of his amateur background. Leonard openly admits he fought Duran at the right time, knowing he would be out of shape from celebrating his win 3 months earlier. Hagler never moved out of his division to take on the bigger men always made the rest of the fab 4 move up.Hopkins lost his first pro bout.

You could go on and on so just let it go!!!! All day every day this forum has the same people writing the same **** over and over again. Nobody talks about fighters out with the 140-154 divisions anymore. I doubt most on this forum have seen Mickey Garcia, carl Frampton or Marco Huck fight.

    another idiot.

they were separated by 2 weight classes.

if you gulp enough fluid you can fight at heavy weight doesnt mean youre a ****ing heavyweight.

macne had to drink his own **** to get to ww.

this is akin to pac fighting rigo at c/w of 135 and dont bother honoring the weight. is this a fair fight?

"We must realize that I am the bigger guy," said Mayweather, who will put his RING and WBC welterweight championships on the line against Maidana's WBA title. "I walk around at 150, and I don't go no higher than 152. I'm naturally the bigger guy because I've been at 147 for almost 10 years now. So I'm naturally the bigger guy."

Floyd's fight night weight against Marquez was never made public so it could have been more than 2 lbs

JMM was thoroughly out boxed....the weight difference wasn't the issue....Floyd wasn't even hurting him with the punches.

I think JMM gaining weight the way he did and it being his first time that high was more of a factor.

That being said....the class difference was ridiculous

BUt i know what your gonna say...styles makes fights...so meh
