if a media poll only had 46% saying marquez winning then you could argue a draw is also fair. I personally scored it a draw, but honestly don't pretend to know what im looking for unlike the experts on here. :rofl
Its funny how theres people acting like Manny does have hand picked opponents. If Clottey would've Ko'ed Cotto there would be no way in hell team Pac wouldve fought him. Manny wouldn't even fight Ortiz or Berto right now who both have lost in their last fights. Team Pac are the ultimate cherry pickers farworse than anyone in the biz minus Calsloppy and his 40 cab drivers.
Other polls were even more. Only 12% had Manny getting the win..it was a robbery just as Pac Bradley was a robbery.
Almost every elite-level fighter in today's era hand-picks their opponents. The old days where guys like DLH, Leonard, Duran, Hearns, and Whitaker repeatedly fought difficult opponents even after they were established as stars is long gone. The OP has very obvious biases and an obvious agenda though. I like Pacquiao's style and respect his accomplishments and mindset, and I respect Mayweather's technical skills, but both men have handpicked most of their opponents from every weight above 135 in Mayweather's case, and most of Pacquiao's opponents at 147 and the Margarito fight were handpicks.
LOL Clottey is not a beast. He is a skilled defensive fighter but he doesn't knock dudes out a lot. Went the distance with Shamone Alvarez who is nobody and is garbage and did not have any notable wins. I gave him rounds 1-4 for Margarito, Margarito 5-12.
Not until he became a superstar. Any boxers on Pac's shoes who's not an idiot will do the same. Who in this world would not want to earn more from his profession?:huh
