Mosley ran for 12 rounds while landing 60 punches, and in the process was robbing people who bought PPV. Running around not landing punches isn't boxing....that's laughable. That's the blueprint for losing a fight. In fact Mosley might as well have not even entered the ring. Clottey and Mosley looked equally **** lol.
He said in the corner during the fight his legs were cramping , and it makes sense considering how flat footed he looked during the mid rounds. He looked good in the early and end rounds. Personally I think he is starting to slow down a bit , I could see it in the Margarito fight. But I also think he may have overtrained.
Yes he did run but In all honesty thats the first time nobody just stood there and fought and Pac had trouble. that was a 40 year old man that made Pac misses like crazy, if He would've threw any punches at all Pac would've got caught with some good punches. Hence why JMM will make Pacquiaos face bleed once again
Anybody can look good against Clottey or Margarito. they just stand in front you and eat punches like I eat cheeseburgers. Someone finally gave Pacquiao movement and his legs are gone???? NOOOO!! His legs arent gone but now you guys know why he has trouble with JMM and why Mayweather will get in that ass bad, hes almost the same boxer he was years ago. 3-4-5 punch wild combinations, off blance when he throws. Trust me I'm a Pacquiao fan but who cant look good against Clottey and Margarito??
Pacquiao's legs are far from shot, but they're clearly not what they once were. All you have to do is compare a recent fight to any fight from years past to see the legs and the hands slowing. It shouldn't be a surprise though and he's still a beast.
Pacs and floyds legs are not gone. But both of them show slower footwork. Unfortuanly floyd doesn't rely on his footwork as much as pac with his in and out style. This effects pac more then floyd style wise.
To be honest most people have a knee jerk reaction to what they see, I think the JMM fight will show us what his legs are like, no doubt he must be slowing down, but I cant think they would be gone. If they are that is really going to change the out come of his fights because with out the foot speed I see him getting hit ALOT more!
its hard to gauge how both manny and floyd are at the moment. pac might aswell have taken a break from boxing like floyd because that mosley fight was absolutely horrible (full credit to pacquiao because he did try but mosley was more like usain bolt inside that ring refusing to engage) marquez knows that at 144 catchweight he doesent stand a chance because that is pacs prime weight and jmm has been fading as hes climbed weight classes (even at 135 he hasent looked the best and then you take age into factor) but im sure he will come out with the warrior mentality and fight to the death. and im sure he has pac atleast a little figured out so we may see some great outboxing done as for floyds fight im sure he will be tested by a young hungry and now since beating berto incredibly confident pressure fighter in ortiz. i personally wish they both look fantastic so that the pac may megafight has got some legs left
Guys, a person who’s trying to throw punches and move his feet simultaneously, is going to be moving far slower than a person who is moving his feet and not throwing anything. In another words, it’s really easy to make someone look sloppy and slow on their feet, if you’re sole aim is to run away from them and not do anything else. That’s the problem Manny was facing against Shane. Matthysse, when he was fighting a retreating Zab, also had pains in his leg from using muscles which he had never been forced to use before. So I assume his legs are gone, too? The only thing wrong with Manny in that fight, were the tactics he employed. Instead of cutting the distance first and then letting hands go when he was close enough to touch him, Manny began letting his hands go first assuming Shane would be an immobile target and not going anywhere.
Weight won't be an issue. Both guys weighed 148 and 145 for their last fights. This weight disparity is no different to the last time they fought when they were 145 and 141. Conditioning is the difference here. The 144 catchweight gives Pac the freedom of reaching his 148 weight in a more effective way. He's allowed to condition himself better.
