Are older fights just more fun? I don't think I ever have been bored watching a fight pre-90s

I don't think I have ever been bored watching an older fight like pre-90s.

Meanwhile I watch some fights today, and it just doesn't seem as fun. sure fights like Fury and Wilder reminded me of back then.

But to me, it just seemed more like back then, it felt more like ego was involved as the two guys really went after eachother. One fight that kind of reminded me of this,was Wlad vs Haye too as it felt like they wanted to get the other.

It is not like their defense was lacking either back then, it just felt more like they wanted to really get the other guy.

It felt more like before, fighters didn't want you to wonder who won or who was better.
