I was a fan of boxing long before I ever heard of Manny Pacquiao. He made a fan of me instantly, though.
I dont think they are boxing fans, cause if you ask them any question of boxing that isnt about pacquiao, they wont know what the fck you are saying. But if its any question on pac then they can answer right away. I have a friend who doesnt know who roy jones is and said he should fight pacquiao *facepalms*
be brave enough not to use an alt. "empty can do rattles most" best describe this self proclaimed so called "boxing experts". why cant you people wait for others to say that youre above everybodys boxing knowhow? by the way, get a life!!. there is more to life than just boxing.
Pac is a rare species and any real boxing fan who does not appreciate his skills are haters. Unless everyone is a hater, this is your answer >>> Pac fans can also be a boxing fans who probably know more than us put together.
There's some that are knowledgable...some who are just fans of Manny and don't have a real deep understanding of boxing as a whole....with that said there are just as many Floyd and Kilt fanatics who are JUST as bad and some times even worse than the most severe *******.:yep
I hate people that place all individuals who like Pacquiao into the same group. Some Pac fans don't see reason when discussing Pac, because they are blinded by their admiration for him. The same is true of Floyd fans, and you only need to look at this forum to see evidence of that. As such, please stop making threads like this which only serve to perpetuate ridiculous stereotypes.
Every boxing fan has to start with one fighter. For all we know they could be new to boxing and pac just made them a boxing fan. Isnt that good for the sport? My friend whos a karate guy and never gave **** about boxing, after seeing pac he start following boxing. Give them a chance they could well become one of the most knowledgeable people around. I know there are idiots around but that just the way it is, they got to start somewhere.
If Pac can attract non-boxing fans, then that's good right? Boxing needs a lot of attention. I like basketball, and all the other sports, but would love to see boxing rise up a few ranks in the mainstream media. Not every Kobe Bryant fan follows all the non-Laker games.
if there's anyone who's getting schooled here, it's the Money fans. Floyd defeated aging boxers with no chance to win and suddenly Floyd fans think it's a hell of a win when in fact it's smoke and mirrors. it's a good win, but it is not a legit win considering Moseley's circumstances, including Marquez. So please Floyd fans, do yourself a favor. stop overrating Floyd's late achievements like it meant something when it's doesn't proved a thing.
