Are Pacquiao's accomplishments @ 147 really "that much" better than pbf's?

Sugar Ray Leonard vs Donny Lalonde(1988)
Leonard was given the green light by the WBC and boxing commission to demand Donny Lalonde fight as a Super Middleweight for Lalonde's WBC Light Heavyweight title. Additionally, the WBC would put the newly created Super Middleweight title on the line as well. Two weight division championship titles up for grabs in one fight. Neither man was a Light Heavyweight that night yet they fought for the WBC Light Heavyweight title.

wow just wow, leonard is really great at catch weight :good

twofear, this is for the record 8th title in a different weight class and the second in a row at a catchweight.

Don't bend the rules if you are trying to chase history. The fight is bogus enough already.

IF YOU CANT FIGHT AT FULL LIMIT THEN WHY FIGHT AT CATCH WEIGHT!!!!!!!

dat's what you all are saying right :good

so if you are old you get a pass to fight at catch weight....

    PBFred:

i never give a damn about belts just look at what i posted regarding leonard, although i must admit it will go on the history of boxing, but we have WBC to blame on that matter they are the sanctioning bodies :good

And how does history rate Leonard as a light heavyweight?

    Not at all:deal

Saying that Leonard did it doesnt mean Pac gets full credit for a catch weight fight.

Leonard got a 175 belt in a catchweight fight and no one on the earth is going to rank Leonard anywhere as an ATG at light heavy.

too bad they don't do same day weigh-ins, so your point is moot

also, pac actually looked bigger than cotto, probably becuase of the odd late weigh-in time, which favored pac, not cotto

How do you figure? Here's how I see it:

Hatton/DLH cancel each other out because they were at weights where their opponents were not at their best

Cotto and Mosley wins are about equal.

Judah and Baldomir were top WWs at the time and smash the **** out of Pacquiao's last fight, Clottey.

Mitchell and Marquez fights don't even need to be brought up.

At WW, Floyd shits on Pac. It's not even close.
