Do PPV attractions like Mayweather and Pacquiao deserved their share of the PPV pie? They're still getting large chunks of money from PPVs. We generally don't like PPVs because they're expensive and underperforming but it seems the PPV platform still making money.
ill pay if it's good. this year i just bought: pacquiao vs bradley2 Canelo vs Lara Haven't bought a mayweather ppv since the canelo fight. I'm no fool with the 2 chino fights.
Maybe one per quarter is feasible. I think there are now too many. And the PPV events have to be more stacked than they are. Less so with Showtime, who generally put on quite a good show.
I take the opposite approach as most. I wish there were more PPV's. I'd pay $20 to watch a card headlined by Roman Gonzalez vs. Rocky Fuentes, for example. If you don't want to pay for it, then don't watch it. Obviously in an ideal world, only the best fights ever take place and they aren't on PPV but instead happen in my back yard so I don't have to pay anything. But that is just fantasy.
