Are people at HBO out of their mind showing Williams the KO?

Yeah it was one of those strange knockouts where the guy is out cold but the eyes are still open. Contrast that with say Jones-Johnson where his eyes where wide closed and it looks like Paul took a much more vicious knockout despite the fact Paul was up like 30 seconds later and seemed decent on his legs whereas Jones looked completely ****ed.

Yeah, horrible timing on HBO's part. If anything, show it to Martinez and tell him to "take us through the knockout". But they didn't even show the set-up, just the last shot! And of course, they showed it to the wrong person.

Have you ever fainted, and smashed your head/chin on something hard and possibly pointy? I have when I was about 10-11...my mum was standing there watching me, she said my eyes were wide open (and possibly rolling backwards). After a couple of seconds I was up on stable legs and unhurt, not sure why.

Random story, but that was the first thing that came into my head when reading your post.

I can't say I ever have or ever witnessed something like that in person. It is very strange though and quite chilling.

Your last statement is not exactly right... actually far from the truth since Williams has been called out numerous times by good boxers and he's always played deaf. Quintana, Dzinziruk, Clottey and even Cintron 4 a rematch among others come to mind!;) You are welcome!
Thank you! Some ppl here act like this is a girls slumber party with "Pillow-Pet" fight nite!

Those types of knockouts, it's as if the brain just switches off and doesn't send any information anywhere...just shuts your entire body off for a few seconds as if it's in stasis. Then when it switches itself back on, everything is normal. Strange.

I was thinking the same thing when he went down. I saw him laying there lifeless and saw the dumb ass ref counting. I thought why the hell is he counting for?!?! He's obviously out cold.
