Are people being overly harsh on Canelo since his loss to Bivol?

No serious person thinks he won those fights, especially the first one.

 

He deserves worse because he robbed Golovkin twice. If it weren't for those robberies, Golovkin would be now undisputed champion and hall of famer. He stole those from him relentlessly.

I never forget Adalaide Byrd scoring the first fight.

Even Canelo's promotional company, DAZN had him losing against GGG

 

Of course they are . Most of the board absolutely despise him. Meanwhile, they love GGG who has not taken a risk in his whole career. He could have fought Ward (just one division up), but said no thanks. He would have been schooled. Canelo took risks and this is what happens. I like Golovkin, I'm just pointing out the BS. Bivol and Beterbiev are also loved and have refused to fight each other. Now Beterbiew is older. Barely any mention of this though.

Here lies kiwi_boy, a GGG fan, who never got over what Canelo did to GGG, who bet a lot of $$ on GGG beating Canelo but it didn't pan out on the night, and his bank account took a big hit. He never got that GGG pey dey so he kept betting against Canelo his whole life, every time kept losing, going further into debt. Until one day, it happened!!! His dream finally came true, he bet on Bivol and his dream of Canelo losing finally came true! kiwi has waited his whole life for this moment, he FINALLY WON. So I think we need to give kiwi a break, and understand that he has suffered so much hardship from betting against Canelo all his life. This is the moment he has been waiting for. Those are tears of joy, he has finally won a bet involving Canelo, what kiwi_boy really needs is our emotional support. He's half the fighter that Estrada is. And that's the truth that the corrupt and greedy boxing media will not let you hear. You realize that boxing is the most corrupt and cesspool sport around these days? Do you for a second actually think Canelo can ever hold Estrada's water bottle? No Canelo is the most marketable and so the p4p label was shoved down our throats so the fat cats in suits could skim off the top. Wake up.

Canelo is undoubtedly a big talent....but he has got away with being the 'A' side for too long....bias from judges....rehydration clauses in contracts....and his mexican 'beef' has been allowed.

Many of his fights i feel have been cherry picks

 

Champions for a reason. Reason being the division is ass. Who did Plant, Saunders and Smith beat?

 

To most so called Boxing fans/community/media members that's all that really matters which is "Winning" no matter how it is done, even by the ever so predictable Judges screwing, because within weeks end everyone forgets that so called robbery that had transpired which ruins that "Fighters" Career and is quickly replaced with that Said "Fighter" got beat even though after the fight there was a outrage at least for that moment,

End of the day what the 3 judges declared that night becomes the truth forever set and all throughout all articles, interviews, documentaries, etc in History,

At best you will get the all so famous Quote His "Controversial Win/loss" as the boxing world loves stating those particular words rather than actually telling the truth of what really happened then at that given moment in time, Gotta Love it.

 

Canelo would have been treated better had they not robbed Lara and Golovkin. Damn they almost rob Mayweather who took Saul to school.

Even if you think Lara or GGG was robbed, which is an absurdity given how objectively close those fights were, but even if you're bitter about the decision, why would anyone take out their bitterness on Canelo? Canelo is just a fighter, he has zero control or influence on how judges scored his fights. Are you mad at Canelo for how he fought that caused the judges to score it for it?

This whole thing is just so incredibly dumb. To hold it against a fighter who put his welfare and heatlh on the line for your entertainment based on how the judges scored it? I mean talk about being emotionally invested, like I get that you and many others thought he lost some fights, I get that. But holy bejesus you gotta get over what happened and move on. Canelo Alvarez has done nothing but succeed in the sport and give you thrills and classics in the ring, and for you not to appreciate that and to hold that against a fighter and be mad at him for winning, it's just unbelivable to me that fans take decisions this personally. And again, be upset over the decision, but don't hold a decision against a fighter. It's not the FIGHTER who scores the fights, it's the JUDGES who score. Even if there was corruption somehow, it's not the fighter's fault. Canelo Alvarez just goes out there and fights to the best of his ability. What happens if a fight goes the distances, how judges interpret what happened is completely out of his control. So there's no use being mad at him for winning and beating fighters like Lara or GGG. Disagree with it all you want, be mad at the decision if it makes you feel better, but don't hold it against the fighter for winning and succeeding in the sport.
