so they can hate on Lomachenko saying he lost to bum, if he losses the saturday?.
Serious question, it seems to me like if no one gives a chance to Walters, so if in the case that Lomachenko loses, people will say that Lomachenko is overrated, a bum, etc...
The thing is that the fight is as close as you can get. Walters is fast, powerful, with solid technique, a good counterpuncher and with a good height advantage.

Actually I've only seen Loma fans discredit Walters. Walters is elite, but Loma is a different level IMO. Easy win for Loma, like Pac was for Floyd, stylistically the fight is nothing alike, but the point is if an elite talent wins an easy UD over another elite talent it doesn't mean that the loser is a bum.

I thought he was much taller but according to boxrec there's an inch in favour of Walters. His reach is far greater apparently but, of course, the height/reach stats are often dubious.

Yeah a few are completely discrediting Walters. He's elite, and as another poster said, he's an 'A level fighter with A level power'.
He's good on the inside and is going to try to force the fight from what we hear from him. That makes for a dangerous fight for Lomachenko. Walters doesn't care, he will hit Lomachenko at the back of the head like he hit Donaire, good to the body too. He has a chip on his shoulder.
Walters has a good win in current titleholder Jason Sosa, too.

I thought Walter's vs Sosa was really a Draw and that fight showed Walter's to not be nearly as good as advertised .

I watched it live and only once, could have been I got caught up in what I expected from Walter's and the fight turning out to be a tough close very competitive fight might very well had swayed my thinking.

    This is a 50/50 fight--just like the Ward-Kovalev fight.

Anyone who doesn't think so DKSAB

Walters at Feather was an absolute beast, fast hands, fast feet, very heavy hands, and a ton of self belief, but he's looked very ordinary since moving up.

The question is, has the extra weight slowed him and taken away his pop, or was he unmotivated or simply finding his feet at the weight ?

I'm hoping his last two fights were just a blip, and that it business as usual come Saturday. Pretty sure it will be an interesting and entertaining fight .

I expect Lomachenko to win but Walters is going to test him. This fight is not going to be a day at the beach for Lomachenko.

Ironic people citing Walters inactivity yet Loma hasn't even had 9 fights yet! As for inactivity, if Walters hadn't been so greedy a year ago pricing himself out he wouldn't have been inactive! That's his fault! I think this might truly be the real coming out party for Loma.. A display for the ages! Lets not forget it wasn't ling ago that Walters was on the p4p list and ppl were comparin him power wise to Kovalev and GGG. Sosa has gone onto be better than expected to..

LOL @ Walters being greedy. Arum did in fact up the offer for this fight compared to earlier in the year (probably because Lomachenko is clearly not an A-side draw), and Walters' inactivity was as much Bob being a spiteful POS and Top Rank lacking the resources to keep their fighters active without HBO subsidies as anything else.

I thought this fight was one of those that got to happen because HBO budget was free'd up due to Canelo not getting to fight again this year.

Loma IS overrated... that's #1. Second Walters is coming off a long (inactive) layoff. It would be sweet IF Walters had been fighting or whatever... But HBO thinks this is a cherry pick. (WAR Walters)

The backwards psychology won't work. Loma is in with a live dog and his fans know it. You all called him a coward and now the fight is here. Greedy and scared were the words of choice. We will find out how good both guys are by Saturday night
