I didn't vote because the true answer in somewhere in between. Sure on paper Wlad has an edge in every department but Sultan has made a living off of defying the odds. I would've voted for a 75-25% Wladimir / Sultan choice if there were such a thing. Wlad should be able to find his range with the jab & setup the big right orleft hook to take him out but Iggy has never been stopped. In fact I think he's only been down vs. Austin, technically once but really twice and both were flash knockdowns. Sultan has a solid chin, he's very fast, throws in combination & he's a southpaw to boot. This isn't a walkover by any means. :nono
He might look like a plumber or a bus driver but so does Fedor in MMA. I've seen the following Ibragimov fights at least once: KO Whitaker KO Mora Draw Austin UD Briggs UD Holyfield I saw some early Sultan fight to on Youtube but I can't remember the opponent's name. The guy can fight and he's corrected that crossing his feet BS from his earlier days.................he has underrated power too.
Not because it isn't PPV worthy but because Wladimir is cool like that. He doesn't want people to have to pay too much to see him fight because he wants even the casual boxing fans to see him fight. It's good for boxing and I wish more fighters gave a **** about the fans. I used to watch Ali FOR FREE on ABC's Wide World of Sports, we didn't even need cable because it didn't exist. I grew up watching early Toney, Roy Jones, McGirt, Ray Leonard, Hagler, Duran, Holmes, etc., most FOR FREE.
If Wlad/Iggy was on PPV it would do terrible numbers in the states, the only Heavyweight that commands PPV is Holyfield. The average boxing fan dont even watch the Heavyweight divsion, and probably couldnt even name one title holder.
No way, no how does Ibragimov beat Klitschko. People seem to forget Klitschko has never ever been outboxed and Ibragtoomuch has no power, not at least any power to give Klitschko any problems. I look for a TKO 6.
Iggy/Holyfield was on PPV, Iggy/Wlad is not and for good reason, who the hell would watch that fight for 40 or 50 bucs.:nut
No need for name calling, I read all your previous posts. That being said Brewster/Wlad could of did some decent numbers, but I think were all glad a match like that wasnt on PPV, because I would of payed 40 bucs to see that and would of been very disappointed as a fight fan at the lack of a excitement the fight provided. As a big Heavyweight boxing fan I would not buy Iggy/Wlad, it wouldnt be worth my money, and Im pretty sure that means the average fan would stay clear of that fight as well. The division is very unpopular in the states and a fight like this would do very low PPV numbers, even you should know that RUSKULL.:yep
Iggy is doing good job against big fighters, atleast mostly. Maybe, his more difficult opponent than people think, but this one might be wlads real test, how he can handle sneaky small and experienced fighter..
Every fight is a do or die for Wlad because of his previous weakness. I think anyone that gets pole-axed like he did against Sanders gets KTFO.He got hit by some haymakers. Purity and Brewster were a different story. Peter's knockdown of him in the 10th. may show the most interesting vulnerability. Not a big punch, but effective enough to raise suspicion because he seemed to lose it.Maybe he's grown.
You are certainly the minority RUSKULL, I dont know anyone that would drop 30 or 40 bucs on a fight like this, it will be boring until Wlad drops the hammer on Iggy in the 7th or 8th round.:yep
