Say what you will about Wlad's cautious style, but for almost ten years he defended the belts 2-3 times a year against the best he could find.

    Contrast that to:

Fury- The rematch is probably going to be in October. That will be 11 months without a fight. I am not saying that the injury is fake, but inactivity is the hallmark of Fury's career, and he openly talks about retiring. His dedication to the sport is obviosuly not consistent.

Joshua- He is allegedly defending a "world championship," but picked a punching bag as his first opponent who is only top 30-40 material. In the meantime, his corner has now said twice that he is not ready for Fury, the real champ. He is the UK Wilder. He is holding a belt hostage.

    And of couse...

Wilder- his next opponent is actually a DOWNGRADE from Molina, Duhaupas, and Molina. Don't even bother telling me that no one better was available. This guy is the single biggest fraud I have seen in boxng since Mark Breland, who ironically trains him.

Let them. I think people wish Joshua well and see some potential, but Wilder's fanbase is driven by, and only by racism. I don't care if the pot calls the kettle...

Was Wlad's level of opposition in the first 2,5 years of his career really all that better than Joshua's? Or Wlad's first challenger of the WBO title, Derrick Jefferson, was he really all that better than Breazeale?

I'd say Joshua is doing just fine.

Joshua is a "world champion" whose camp admits is not ready to fight the best. It is a discgrace.

Was Wlad chasing Lewis in 1999? Or was him defending the WBO title agaist Derrick Jefferson who got KOd in 2 out of his last 3 fights a disgrace?

I ask again, was Wlad(who you mentioned as true champion in the OP) really fighting better level of opposition when he was a pro for 2,5 years?

We aren't talking about Wlad the early years. The division has noticibly taken a dive since Wladdly lost his belts. We now have three "champions" that don't want to fight anyone.

I get very tired of the tortured logic.

You called Joshua's progress a disgrace and held Wlad up as the example of a true champion. I don't see how you can make a comprasion in any other way than taking both of their career's into account at the same stage.

The stage of the HW division is perfectly normal right now, given the long reigning champ is just dethroned. That's how It was when Lewis retired too. It'll take some time before someone(my money is on Joshua) takes over and starts unifying.

Wlad fought everyone but ... no-one is going to miss him. Even if the belts are fractured, if we get some fights that are somewhat compelling then no-one will care about the WK era.

It is a disgrace. Wlad's reign may have been a disgrace 17 years ago, but it was pretty good for the the last ten.

    Give it up.

Call Wilder anyhing you want but Joshua's progress is just fine for now. If he avoids Parker, drops his title or offers him money to step aside, you can criticize him all the way but there's nothing disgraceful about what he's doing right now.

    Dear lord.

His progress is not "fine" considering that he is allegedly some sort of champion. It just isn't.
