Why do you think boxers risk sabotaging their careers if they weren't that much of an advantage? Think about it.

Now sure, you won't go from being a complete bum to an ATG with PED's but the increase in performance is most likely VERY significant.

would you say a PED that enhances strength is worse than a PED that will allow you to fight for every second of every round at 100%?

People are so f***ing stupid. The pro-PED argument on this site has been drowned out continually over the years and has no merit whatsoever and still some of you surface to defend PED usage and deny it's affects you f***ing muppets lose any shred of credibility anyone may have thought that you had.

People think PED's are only anabolic steroids for muscles mass.

That is such a small % of PED use in contemporary sports. It is not the 1950's anymore.

We're talking oxygen flow, red/white blood cell boosts, diuretics, and all sort of stuff that we the consuming public will not even know about for another 10+ years same as we just found out about what was widely used in the 90's until the mid 2000's, etc. And you still have some idiots who think that PED's weren't invented until the 1990's and mostly for baseball players to hit home runs... Ignorance I tell ya. Contemporary PED's (not talking about uppers; which have been used in athletic competition for literally over a thousand years, look it up if you doubt that) have been widely used in sporting since the 1960's!!!

    not a bad read :good

bit of a drama queen though..i think a lot of new Steroid users would b shocked at the hard work and dedication it takes to make the PEDs work for you ....the naive uneducated view is all PEDs are some kind of magic pill from a fairy tail and is cheating of the highest order...

Roids help and athletes will use them until caught, like Wach against Vlad, not to mention the gloves that were tampered with.............

In a weight limited sport (excluding HW) PED's have limited, but significant performance enhancing effect, especially in 12 round bouts.

    just some examples:

EPO - gives you stamina to be able to run around ring and become stronger fighter in the latter rounds of the fight.

Anavar -gives you more strength during power training period without adding muscle mass and weight.

Diuretics help with dropping weight for the fight.

No chemical substance will give you boxing skills, but they will give some more physical performance ability compared to your opponent. That is significant advantage in long fights between fighters who are comparable in boxing skill levels.

Heavy Weight obviously is another story, all advantages of any drug can be utilized in the king of the divisions.

imo stuff like DMAA might be a much more effective Ped in boxing than regular testosterone type steroids

being able to fight every minute of every round is more of an advantage than having heavier hands...probably:D

but combine them both then you are a super human

What would have happened? They would have lost even worse. I don't know what you don't get. Congrats for pointing out two scenarios.

My point is clear, and if you cannot see it, I really don't know what to tell you. Professional boxers already have skill, which is why they are professionals. It's not like they are average Joe's who all of a sudden become great boxers upon taking PED's. Do simple math. If I am a professional baseball player, then decide to take PED's, I will increase my performance, thus becoming better.

PED's clearly don't make you better because they give you the skill, they make you better because you ALREADY have the skill, then take a drug to make you bigger/faster/stronger/heal quicker. I don't understand how anyone can think otherwise.
