Fury wont fight. Wilder has been worked out, a busy cruiser (Usyk) looks to be the dominant heavy, Joshua kids himself hes a fighter, all the rest of the poms are average....

Boring. No excitement machines, no ko machines, no young lions busting heads...

    Worst era in history!

Yes and no. I think there is some pretty interesting match ups that COULD be made, who knows if they will. In Wlads era most of the top guys ended up fighting, it was just a dull era.

The thing about Wlads era was not only was he dominant, he was the 1st dominant White heavy since Marciano. Many thought it couldnt happen. (including me probably). Eastern bloc fighters have tipped the boxing world upside down. (Fury also is probably Slavic.. as is Usyk)

It's certainly the slowest I can ever remember it being. It feels like fights are being made over geological time scales.

When Fury Usyk and Wilder AJ are penned in let me know how you feel.

Atleast there isn't really a crop of worthy freshies who are desperate for a shot and aren't getting it.

Well, he'd beat most heavyweights in a spelling contest..

Arslanbek Makhmudov was born in the town of Mozdok in North-Ossetia[3] to a Kumyk family.[4] He studied in Russian State University of Physical Education, Sport, Youth and Tourism.[3] In his amateur career he performed for "Dinamo" boxing team based in Moscow, and won European student championship

    Yes, no depth..

To be honest, Fury is inactive, Usyk is undersized, Wilder 'has been'.. worked out, and AJ isnt a fighter. Hes an athlete performing as one.

Lol. Big George Foreman was undersized in his prime then, apparently.

It's a dull time, not because of a lack of talent, but because too many boxers such as Hrgovic have been avoided, and some of the higher-ranked heavyweights are too inactive.

People like Tyson "Greedy Belly" Fury have become prima donnas, making unrealistic demands for money and being unwilling to take on anybody who could be a threat to win.

The despicable sanctioning organizations like the WBA and the WBC are making matters worse.

Then you have dodgy promoters like old Fish Eyes, who had a home referee saving his fighter Dubois in his last fight, and "Snake" Arum, who will likely instruct a home referee to call an early stoppage in the upcoming Zhan-Anderson fight.

Hearn takes a lot of criticism, but he's more honest than most of the other promoters. But he's being over-protective of Joshua right now. He should make Joshua-Wallin or Joshua-Whyte for July or August.

Has the potential to be a decent era but they don`t fight often enough for it to considered a good one

We need to give these young up and coming or inexperienced unbeaten fighters more exposure.

There’s such a big gap, such a divide in the division at present between the top 4-5 and the rest.

Where is Sanchez? Wallin? Makmehdov? Kossobutskiy? Kabayel?

Where have these guys been for the last 2 years!

No it’s not. Usyk is one of the most skilled heavyweights you’ll ever see and there is some SERIOUS young talent in that Division coming up. Jalolov and Hrgovic are very good and can crack. Hell even Briedis fighting at HW is exciting in my opinion.

Also got a guy who in my opinion will prove to be the one of the best Heavyweight punchers in the last 30 years in Gassiev.

Nah… Exciting times ahead at HW

Should the thread be "Worst era of fight pomotors in history"?
