Are the contenders better than the champions?

    Which group is better?

Current champions in Fury, Wilder and Martin

Top contenders in Povetkin, Ortiz, and Joshua?

In my opinion, Fury beats Ortiz, Wilder and Povetkin is a seriously close fight in my opinion and Joshua should beat Martin but we really don't know enough so I would have to say based on the fact I think Fury is different class to them all, the champions are better.

Absolutely. I'd pick all 3 contenders over Wilder and Martin. Fury is a wild card though.

    Povetkin is better than Wilder.
Ortiz has a good chance against Fury, but I still believe Fury and Wlad are the two best fighters in the world.

Martin and Joshua are both completely unproven.

Fury is a favourite over anyone right now. Wilder is a wildcard. Ortiz is a wild card.

    Fury
    Wlad
    Povetkin
    Wilder
    Ortiz

    Probably the top 5.

    My top 5 would be:

    Klitschko
    Fury
    Ortiz
    Joshua
    Povetkin

    Wilder does not belong.

I like this list. Only thing I'd switch is move out Joshua and insert Parker.

    1 ) Fury ( FOR THE MOMENT )
    2 ) Wlad
    3 ) Povetkin
    4 ) Ortiz
    5 ) Parker

Wilder in the top 6-7 area. Joshua in the top 8-10. Martin, not in the top ten but has a belt!

Belt holders shouldn't have recognition unless they're number 1.

It's Fury and then his contenders. Tyson is the king.

I like Parker big time. Top prospect but he needs to step up. Joshua showed a lot in the Whyte fight for me so I rank him top 5.

Wilder is difficult to rank. I haven't been able to catch the streaming of the Szpilka fight and the only full version on youtube is terribly rendered. From what I've read in the RBR thread though, he was behind quite a bit by the time he got the stoppage, which sounds bad. A top 5 heavy should not be going life and death with a fringe contender whom Jennings beat comfortably. I imagine his power and speed could bail him out against a lot of fighters but that's all up to circumstance. Clealry he's not all that difficult to outbox despite his size.
