If u look at Taylor he looked like a bodybuilder and Pavlik looked skinny yet Pavlik was alot stronger why is that?
Because apparently boxing is not about who had the biggest pecs. Taylor doesn't resemble a bodybuilder btw.
Pavilik performs a lot of "strongman" exercises. It's not sarcasm. Think of all the **** that people do in strongman competitions. That's what his workouts consist of. Lifting weights is not the only way to gain strength. The only weights I've heard (I could definitely be wrong on this) that he uses is a crazy bench press regime variation, similar to the one mas oyama used to do.
Boxing has nothing to do with how a man looks, its basicly conditioning and the ability to shift your weight and turn your punches over correctly. I mean there is alot more to it than just that but if your talking about Power and why someone who doesnt look like they can hit does hit pretty damn hard, that is your answer, some guys are born with raw power much like Miranda, but even he does not turn his shots over correctly nor does he shift his weight as good as he should had he figured out how to do that, my god his power would be even more impressive.
He doesnt look like anything of the sort?:think Now Duncan Dokiwari may be but he "was" a former bodybuilder.
because big muscle n low body fat isnt strength j- taylor is a very bad example frank bruno is better body builder lookin
Aye. So does Evan Fields, although of course that's a completely different person who happens to live close to Holyfield.
it might have something to do with the fact that some people spend their time perfecting their punch skills instead of the way their bodies look. just a thought...
To see the difference between the two guys the thread was about and therefore the point he was making!! atsch
