I could have copied and pasted their fight records but anyone can look at those for themselves. The fact is using Jack Johnson - who was frozen out of the heavyweight division for years - and Joe Louis and Mike Tyson as examples was a **** poor call. They fought everyone in sight for God's sake.

Top 5 on a head to head basis, top 10 on achievement? This is a wind up from the two guys who said this, surely?

I would rank Vitali in the Top25. Let's remember that, until 2005, he had only beat Sanders and Danny Williams and then retired. But, toe-to-toe, he's great.

I would rank Wladimir in the Top15 or barely Top12. He has been the dominant force since 2006, has approx 60 fights, has 15 title fights, has only been involved in two decisions since 2001, etc.

The quality of opponents faced by Johnson, Louis and Tyson was, in relative terms, higher than that faced by the Klitschkos. Chambers, Austin and Thompson would never have been near a heavyweight title fight if the division was richer in talent. That's not the Klitschko's fault, it's just how it is.

I think Norton gets rated too highly, personally. He was just a bad match up for Ali and he ran a green Holmes very close, but otherwise his CV is pretty underwhelming to be honest. I'd have both Klits above him.

i think they r very close like i said if they werent bros and they were 2 dominant fighters for this long in the same division the only way to settle it is in the ring probably wont happen but i think its the only way for them to get their just do cause they are the only ones on that level i do think haye has an outside shot and that is it

Yes, I'd have Norton nowhere near my top 10 list.

I try not to rank current fighters in atg lists for the most part. It seems to be easier when they finally call it quits, to look at the body of work as a whole and see how that defines them. I personally find Vitali to be the better fighter, but believe that Wlad will ultimately have the higher ranking. Looking at them so far, I believe they will one day be remembered in the top 15 and top 20 without a doubt IMHO. Holmes strikes me as one who was not greatly apprecited in his day, yet ranks in many top 5's (4 on mine) and top 10 in nearly all realistic lists. I won't be surprised if they surpass Bowe/Patterson/Norton types and challange for a potential top 10 spot. I doubt that they will crack it, even in the future but among many will proabably fight for top 15 rankings and crack that top 10 for a few others. I doubt either of them will go as low as 7 or 8 on lists that are serious though.

Nope, no way are they in my top ten. Head to head both do very well but they simply don't have the opposition on their records to warrant ranking among the top ten ATG heavys.

Also they are NOT dominant heavyweight champions. Fact is they would have to fight each other to prove they are the best but that will never happen. Who would rank a boxer a top ten ATG when they have not even proven they are the best of their generation, especially when fighting in a weak era. This may be down to their personal choice but I stand by my opinion. The fact that there is no dominant undisputed heavyweight champion is killing the division.

Jack Johnson drew the same color line once he was champion.

they are the best ever! hands down... who ever they fight they make them look bad cuz they are that good... either one of the 2 bros. would of murdered Ali easy... they would of just destroyed them.

i dont understand how you guys keep putting tyson in the sme catagory as johnson and louis tyson's level of competion maybe worse than the klitch's spinks is probably the best fighter he ever beat and holmes was way past his prime and still had some moments in the fight
