    I'd say yes, actually.

I've never seen as many contenders refuse to fight champions for any other scenario.

Haye ducked. Povetkin ducked. Brock tried to duck.

I don't know if it speaks to anything but their dominance over their outmatched division, mind you, but yes, they are. Every other "avoided" boxer still manages to get meaningful fights.

You forgot the cost of the opponent. That probably takes a couple hundred k per opponent. I think Ruiz got something like 500k + 200k step aside for the Valuev bout? Something along those lines.

Source for 5 gross per PPV: http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/blog/2009/nov/09/david-haye-valuev-ruiz-klitschko

Sky projected 1 million sales and that would have meant 5 million quid for Haye according to this article. US PPVs generally are more expensive and therefore possibly allow a bigger % share for the fighters? Again, just guessing.

There are 2 meaningful fights for the Klits. Haye and one-another. Solis and Adamek could possibly turn out to be something but not yet. Povetkin really hasn't shown anything to suggest he could beat any of the champs.

You can't be the most avoided in all of boxing just cos 2 men won't fight you.

There is no mention of the promoters getting a total of £5 per PPV sale anywhere.

It only says "If projections are right, Haye will make £5m from this fight." It then says he could expect £7mn from Ruiz and £10mn from Audley.

From your source that says Haye makes £22mn from the 3 fights. So over 25mn Euro for Haye to Wlad's 10mn.

    Thanks for proving my point!

I agree more or less with your point -- of the commercial success of Haye thanks to the naive Brit fans paying 14.95 to watch him beat up washed up nobodies. Haye has little motivation to take a massive risk getting in the ring with Wlad a make say 5 million EUR net while he can make 4 million EUR net fighting a near zero-risk nobody opponent.

Replace the amounts with whatever floats your boat, what counts is the relative financial reward compared to the business risk of losing for Haye. Wlad @ 50/50 may make him little more money for much much more risk. Haye should simply have shut up instead of promising us big huge fights that "everybody wants" if he is unwilling to follow through.

For Wlad the equation is similar. The change in his total net worth is not much different if he fights Haye or some random bum, while the risk of losing to Haye is higher than losing to one of the C level contenders available.

Here I agree entirely. BOTH MEN should not be calling out eachother and acting like fearless warriors but then bitching out at the negotiating table.

I think talk of Haye ducking is ****ing ******ed. However, it's probably fair to say that he shouldn't be calling them out and talking like he'll fight them for free and then playing hard ball when it comes to making the fight. Same goes for Wlad in my mind though. He talks like he'll take all comers and is affraid of no-one and then makes videos saying Haye is ducking him which he knows is total BS. He's doing it purely to try and bully Haye into signing his deal and anyone who buys that crap is a ****ing ******.

Wlad needs to understand he can't bully Haye and make a deal that reflects the amounts being brought into the fight by each man. We don't know the real numbers, but it's pretty clear that with no PPV deal Wlad brings a lot less money to the fight.

STFU dumb ****. You know ****ing nothing about boxing and are clearly just a fanatical follower of all things Klit. You are a disgusting piece of **** who has never made a reasoned argument and your opinion is worth nothing at all. I hope you choke on the next **** you suck.

Good to see you still have no reasoned arguments to make you ****in clown. You said multiple times that both Klits KO Ali, Tyson was a bum and Marciano never beat a HOF-er. You have no credibility at all and have clearly demonstrated that you know **** all about boxing.

Povetkin, offered a fight last december claimed he was hurt and pulled out. Haye signs to fight than pulls out, fake back injury. Haye then negotiates with vitaly backs out.

Povetkin again ranked number 1, ducks the fight, claims not enough experience pulls out.

Adamak is offered a fight with wlad, adamek declines. Valuev is offered a fight with Vitali for a TITLE SHOT after losing to haye, declines not enough money so he says.

So we look at the rest of the top 10 Chagaev, Thompson, Chamber and Peter. These guys have already all been stopped, none of em say the final bell.

The brothers have decimated the top 10 and the best available are scared shitless of them for good reason too.

you guys are stupid for making this thread

the klitschko's are the most called out champions ive ever seen.

every fighter they come across, has called them out, not just before the fight, but shortly after demanding a rematch. e.g. tony the 'tiger' thompson, fat eddie chambers, corrie sanders, lamon brewster, the list is too ****ing long.

yes the klitschko's have been winning, (despite the fact that wlad got KTFO by purity, brewster, and sanders) but only because they are up against completely overmatched opposition, who arent just limited in their skills set, but also largely come in morbidly out of shape (in terms of the standards of top line heavyweight boxing)...

what makes me laugh is how the hell wladmir can be rated higher than vitali, i mean i dont really rate either of them as ATG's, but vitali is by far the better fighter, and has not been ****ed up 3 times....even though their resume's are almost identical (vitali's arguably better)

The Marciano quote is a fabrication on your part -- please produce the quote where I said that. You have to fabricate since you are stumped when faced with the fact that the only "HOF-ers" he beat were "old men."
You have a habit of denigrating the Klitschkos' supposedly poor opposition, but ignoring the poor opposition of other greats.

You also constantly judge the K-Bros by their worst outings, but when the same principle is applied to fighters like Clay, you lose what few marbles you have left.

What ATG heavyweight did Mike Tyson ever beat other than a semi-retired Larry Holmes, who only came back when Don King waved a suitcase full of cash under his nose?

Both Klitschkos should KO Cassius, yes.
