Are the middle-to-light weight classes too spoiled in boxing these days?

I can't help but notice how many outs the lighter weight classes have in the sport with all of these god damn divisions they have in the sport now.

Here are a couples examples of what I'm getting at..

    - People who say the only reason Castillo beat Corrales is because of a weight advantage.

    - People who say Trinidad lost because he was out-sized by Hopkins.

It just seems like people dwell on the smallest things possible in order to make an excuse, but what about the heavyweights, who not only have to sometimes fight someone significantly heavier, but significantly taller, as well? Or even back in the good old days when there weren't so many freakin' divisions?.... So have the lighter division become too spoiled in the sport?
