After a loss its as close as you'll see, after this you wont see closer odds when AJ fights. Expect anything upwards of 4 to 1 /10 to 1 ,not enough to bank on a Ruiz win really ,id take AJ at those odds unless it goes to 5 to 1 and its worth a shot to take Ruiz. The over rounds is tricky this could end in any round and dictating the 3rd round where AJ should have been smarter ? IDK I would guess double the rounds in case off that round ..I see it going 6/7 rounds ,AJ stoppage ,this fight shouldn't get past round 7 unless AJ is confidently battering him which if he is its not going 12..
There's a saying that the bookies don't usually get it wrong but in this case I don't understand their odds.
Money will come in much bigger on Joshua regardless. Can't make him even or the dog. I see all arguments and all possibilities in this fight. Even if predicting a winner, it is certainly a 50/50 sort of fight.
AJ got owned in the first fight, it was a Mugging... it's like making Tommy Morrison the favorite in a rematch against Ray Mercer or Michael Bentt just because Morrison was the more popular fighter... or Waldo Klitschko being a favorite in a rematch against Corrie Sanders just because he has a bigger following, these rematches never happened because they knew the outcome would have been a repeat of the first fights! Outside of the UK islands of what 90 million people who's Joshua's big following? They always talk about how popular he is but it's just in the UK who created him! It's like people in Kansas thinking the rest of the planet loves everything they do.
Ruiz was 26.0 in the first fight, and now he is 3.4. That is a huge difference. Very few believed Ruiz had a chance in the first fight, and now many are saying he should be the favourite. I think it is safe to say that the odds in the first fight were incorrect.
From a gambling standpoint, this fight scares me. I wouldn’t touch it. Although I’m not a fan, I’m leaning towards AJ. He fought about as bad as he could in the first fight and al last had Ruiz out early. If he gets Ruiz in trouble early, I expect AJ to finish him. The draw bet looks tempting but I don’t expect both guys to finish this fight standing if it’s anything like the first fight. AJ will fight a smarter fight this time. He’s not a better boxer than Ruiz but is so much bigger. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Ruiz win rounds but I expect AJ to win the belt back.
I'd like to see Ruiz win a second time, but it's unlikely to happen. Joshua seems to be the all-round stronger fighter, and will likely win by stoppage this time. I hope I'm wrong about this.
