    When I hear this question

All I can think of is the Barbershop scene

In Eddie Murphy's "Coming To America"

At the end of 1970 Chuvalo was ranked 7th by Ring. This was after the Foreman loss and four wins against .500- guys. So he should have been ranked before fighting Foreman.

Chuvalo wasn't ranked at the end of 1969 but should have been because he beat Quarry who was ranked 3rd. The rankings supposedly came out in March 1970 3 months after the fight so Chuvalos absence while Quarry got rated 3rd is a bit perplexing. Chuvalo did not lose in that period.

Foreman has 18 fights and 14 wins against HW contenders, Usyk has 7. Foremans got a bunch of other nice wins like Qawi, Peralta, Kirkman and Coetzer.

Foreman has 4.5 times as many career KOs as Usyk and over 3 times as many total wins. Almost 10 times as many HW wins.

Not many agree with me Foreman is number one but he should be a consensus number 3. If you're going to leave Foreman out at least put in Wlad who has the longevity numbers and who has a snowballs chance in hell of beating Foreman.

TS is doing great satire. Hes trying to bait the evolutionary scientists into saying funny things and its hillarious.

    Here's the thing though.

Fury was a champion at the time Usyk beat him yes but Holmes is considered a top 5 ATG Heavyweight.

Yes i know Holmes was past his prime and coming off a lay off but with hindsight the win does look better. Holmes went on to beat a prime Mercer and was very competitive with a prime Holyfield and he was never floored again.

When you take into account Holmes is a top 5 ATG Heavyweight who had 75 fights and over 20 world title fights and yet Tyson is only one to stop him. And add to the fact that Holmes was never off his feet again despite fighting deep into the 1990s it's a very significant win.

Tyson beating Spinks would've been the equivalent of Fury destroying Usyk it's quite a similar scenario actually. Both Spinks and Usyk were ATG's at lower weight classes who moved up and become Heavyweight champions again another very significant victory.

Not to mention you have the likes of Tony Tucker who was 34-0.

I just think Tyson has too much of a vast resume overall what he did in the 80s was incredible he went 37-0 with 34 stoppages in just 4 years that's astonishing.

As for Walcott yeah he has a good resume but he wasn't consistent enough for me for every good win he had a loss wasn't far behind.

Ezzard Charles had a good Heavyweight resume aswell he won 9 world title fights and beat the likes of Jersey Joe Walcott x2, Joe Louis, Rex Layne, Joe Maxim, Jimmy Bivins, Gus Lesnevich, Elmer Ray, Joe Baski. He also beat a fighter called Coley Wallace who held a win over Rocky Marciano in the finals of Golden Gloves.

Not to mention Charles is the only fighter to last 15 rounds with a prime Marciano.

Charles for me would be amongst top 15 i think.

Anyone who has followed boxing for more than an hour knows Usyk isn't top 3 all time at heavyweight.

The real question should be, is Usyk top 10 all time at heavyweight? And that is a good question.

Unless I am mistaken you may have misstated something here.

Never said Wlad wasn't in my top 20. I think he's still an ATG heavyweight

H2H Usyk might be the best HW boxer of all time. If you actually know anything about boxing you realize how much of an anomaly Usyk is as a HW. An ultra technical Southpaw (most fighters of the past never even fought Southpaws) with impeccable footwork, a genius level ring IQ, crazy stamina, a great chin, fast hands, a defensive wizard, and amazing heart/determination. Oh, and he also has the clutch gene where when he's gotta turn it up and be great he delivers every time.

As far as resume goes, of course he'll never be able to match guys of the past. Those guys have 50+ wins because they fought a cab driver every other month. Usyk's record is all killer no filler. So of course folks have to run down this era of HWs to try and discredit what Usyk has done. Nevermind that people say every era is bad when that era is going on.

I think it's more interesting to pick out some things Usyk has done that have never been done in the history of the sport.

    1. Won all his title on the road. Most of those being in the opponent's backyard in front of their crowd.

    2. Never taken a knockdown in his pro career. Doing this while being an undersized HW is flat out mind boggling.

    3. Has won literally everything there is to win in boxing. European Amateur Champ. World Amateur Champ. Olympic Gold. Undisputed at CW. Undisputed at HW. Never lost. Won basically every fight clearly, too. No gift decisions or robberies. Has that ever been done by anybody?

    4. Did all of this while being an Eastern European in a Western dominated sport while also not speaking great English. Did it all as the B-side guy that the boxing establishment never wanted around. Did a lot of it while his country has been invaded and turned himself into a hero and symbol for his people.

So, I ask you. Is that not greatness?

False. Weak eras exist. It would be ridiculous to say they don't exist or can't exist. The welterweight division is in a weaker era than it was a few years ago, you have a 46 year old Manny Pacquiao drawing with the champion and Rolly Romero who got smoked by Pitbull is a champion because the talent pool is that shallow. Beyond Spence, Crawford and a few others the welterweight division even a few years ago was not as stacked or as exciting as the Mayweather/Pacquiao era

I want to say Ali Louis Wlad but Wlad's losses to Sanders in 2 rounds and Brewster in 5 rounds when he was at world level bring him down those are 2 very bad losses for a ATG but his ridiculously long reign were he was barely dropping rounds till he was nearly 40 makes up for it and was nearly heavyweight champion at 41 again.

Just a bit too early to judge. Let him retire and be stayed retired and then make a judgment. Happened to Lewis after all. Let’s have a good look at his whole career when he’s done.
