Are there any light heavies in history who potentially could've beaten Mike Tyson on June 27, 1988

I don`t get that, Holy was a cruiser and Spinks didn`t weigh 175lbs when he fought Tyson so what does a 175lbs Holy mean?

Fitzsimmons never faced a finisher like Tyson, he was too slim.

Ali weighed 214lbs when he fought Cooper the second time so maybe you could throw that version of Ali in but Wilder only weighed 214lbs when he fought Ortiz pretty much making all this a bit trivial or pointless.

Could you really see Moorer doing better than Spinks against Tyson`s awesome offensive skills against Spinks?! Moorer couldn`t take a heavy shot and Mike`s finishing against Spinks was awesome. Spinks might have even been able to beat a 212lbs Moorer on that infamous day!

Conn couldn`t have dealt with Tyson`s aggression while standing in front of him the way he did v Louis. Charles v Tyson would have been awesome but if an ageing Dempsey could have Tunney in trouble then Tyson would destroy him after at first struggling.

Harry Greb was a great lightheavy. He had the moxie to put that bully in his place. I'd bet my hat on it.

I think Iron Mike would say differently after Ruby Robert swatted him in the slats! Oh, that's right, he wouldn't be able to talk after that!

Charles would just suffer from being too little. If you could beef him up to 210-220 pounds while having him retain his speed and skill and with the added weight behind his punch, he'd be formidable for any modern heavy/SHW. A beefed up Spinks existed, but not a beefed up Charles. So taking a 185 pound Charles and putting him in with Tyson on 6/27/1988, I think it's a similar outcome to Tyson/Spinks in a roughly similar amount of time. Maybe Charles makes it to round 2.

A 210-220 lbs Charles would have have beaten Wilder in the Ortiz fight when he weighed 214lbs meaning yes he defo would have been formidable for any modern heavy even Tyson but Tyson was something else in the ring at that stage not just any modern heavy like Wilder.

You needed reach to keep Tyson at bay I don`t think any light heavy had that reach apart from Foster and he was awful at heavy so no way could a short armed fighter like Greb keep a monster like Tyson off him.
