No doubting Moses has what it takes to go to the very top, but once Usyk goes, who else out of this new crop could even push him? I've seen clips of Hearn saying Teremoana might be able to beat him, but with Jalolov dipping his toe in and out of the amateurs and pros, Torrez having holes in his game, and most other undefeated fighters with 10 or more fights already being over the age of 30, are we looking at someone with the potential to have a Wlad-style reign at the top of the division? Are there any amateurs coming through who could have what it takes?
Jalolov and Teremoana. David Surov, Nikita Putilov and Jakhongir Zokirov look promising in the amateurs. And In the youths there's Rinat Gasanov and Oleksandr Sliesariev.
Hearn is grasping at straws as Bricktop has lapped him and left him begging Jake Paul for paydays. Teremoana is a big strong lump with decent speed considering he's such a big lump and he would have a punchers chance but that's about it. Itauma is in terms of natural talent leagues above the yanks I mean Torres is a solid little scrapper but nothing out of the ordinary. Joshua Edwards look quite handy but anything he can do Moses can do much better. Jared Anderson LOL Jalolov is a big stiff Amateur fighter who semi-struggled against a fat Ukrainian lad at the age of 31. Call me mental but I think as far as young fighters go Opetaia might be the one to give young Moses his toughest challenge in the future.
All the guy did was stop someone who got knocked unconscious by a forty something a handful of years ago.
Itauma is probably already nearing contender status ATM. Torrez has beaten a solid enough gatekeeper in Vianello but Whyte is a level or two above Vianello whom Itauma dispatched inside a round. Andy Lee said Teremoana Teremoana is someone that could challenge Itauma, and Jalolov obviously has a great amateur record but neither fighter have done anything yet in the pros. Not sure about the Pero brothers to be honest.
I think we are getting way ahead of ourselves. This man has never been hit, and never been past 6. We have no idea about his chin and stamina. I want him to succeed, but at this point, we have no idea what other prospects might beat him.
The top echelons of HW don't have "prospects". They have guys in their late 20s and early 30s who've been collecting dust and cans for years but haven't proven anything. Itauma might not fight someone his age or younger then him until the late 2030s.
