Are there any prime A-level class fighters left out there for Calzaghe to face?

    joe has never beaten a prime, a level class fighter before why would he start now. lacy kessler are not world class and never have been.jones eubank and hopkins were a class but not at the point in their careers they fought calzaghe, why is calzaghe getting so much credit for beating two guys with a combined age of 83 i dont know.should johnson not get more credit for actually finishing jones years ago. it boggles the mind. calzaghe is a great fighter but he has to prove it still.

    So, who can he face before he retires? He doesn't have a time machine..... Also, considering the schooling Pavlik received at the hands of Hopkins, doesn't say much for Pavlik now, does it !! :lol:

    IMO, if you are a top 5 guy in your weight class, which Lacy, Kessler and Hopkins were, you are World Class.

    Hopkins is still an Old Master and an Elite fighter so he gets tons of credit for that close win.

    He beat a prime guy in Kessler and beating Dawson would add to the legacy greatly.

    King Dan, we are singing of the same songsheet!! :D Kudos to you!! If he did face Dawson and defeated him, where would he rank with Jones, Toney or Hopkins on the ATG list?

    Bhop would bust Dawsons ass and so would Calzaghe. Dawson got dropped by a jab form Harding and go the **** beat out of him by a forty year old past his prime Johnson. Bhop beat Johnson earlier n his career.

    The Yanks are busy trying to think of someone & quickly realising there isn't one.

    :lol::lol::lol:

    Kessler is the best fighter on the list, but whilst I think he might do better in a return vs. Calzaghe Is still don't see Joe's 0 going...

    That's what he keeps on saying to get the fans excited. Obviously he's learnt his lesson from PBF. But WTF should he retire now. He's, what 36? Close to his peak... Why can't he carry on till 43 like Nard? At least we'd avoid having these pointless discussions... He could then go on to fight all the guys on your list. Problem solved.
