Are there any tall boxers/outfighters that use body punches effectively?

and of course, Caballero, but he's not really an outfighter, but he is the DEFINTION of lanky :deal

 

Maccarinelli was a very good body puncher

 

Thomas Hearns. Wicked left hook to the body.

Floyd Mayweather. While not especially tall, he has a longer reach than almost all of his opponents, and he's effective from the outside. He uses that nice left jab to the body to maintain distance, disrupt rhythm, and set up bigger shots to the head. At closer range, he can throw hooks and short uppercuts to the body well.

Gerald McClellan, like Hearns, was a tall, hard-hitting Kronk fighter who went to the body well.

 

Alexis Arguello and Eusebio Pedroza. Both tall guys who had very good right uppercuts to the body. In Pedroza's case, that right uppercut was often to the testicles. Arguello also took out Kobayashi with a left hook to the body.

Oscar De La Hoya was a good body-puncher too.

 

George Foreman wasn't a "outfighter" but he could box at times and could go to the body well when he chose to.

Bowe & Corrales could go to the body well for big men though they weren't outfighters.
