One of the things that puts me off the lower divisions are the number of weight classes. 9 divisions below LWW and only 8 above it. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me, especially since the lower weight divisions are only seperated by 3lbs in some cases. I think divisions at 130, 120 and 110 would be far more sensible

Imagine if there were weight divisions at 200, 210, 220, 230... it would be ****ing ****

Shedding or gaining 10 lbs has virtually no effect on a heavyweight but has a huge affect on a bantamweight. So there must be an appropriate curve to correlate with the weight.

3 lbs? Is that an appropriate seperation between divisions? I don't think so. No wonder there are so many 3 or 4 weight champions in the lower divisions, eat a sandwich and you've just moved up a division. I don't think all these divisions do any good for the sport, and I don't see who would struggle with divisions at 110, 120, 130

I rarely watch heavyweights these days.

The Arreola/Quezada fight didn't exactly make me feel like I was missing anything.

As far as i know, the only 4 weight division champ in the lower weight classes is Leo Gamez.

Dude, 10 pounds from 110 to 120 is ****ing humongous! It's going up or down 1/11th of your weight. See how easily you can shed or gain 1/11th of your body weight and come back to me.

You can't seem to grasp the concept of appropriate ratio. When you weigh 105 lbs and are 5 ft 3 inches, 3 lbs is significant. As the weights get higher, weight division gaps get bigger. It's common sense and the only fair way.

I watch them all but it depends on whether or not I have access to the fight. Some divisions are televised more regularly than others in certain regions. Cruiserweight, for example, is followed very closely in Europe. Strawweight, Flyweight and Bantamweight are all followed very closely in Latin America. That's the beauty of boxing!

Good boxing is good, and the lower weights are where most of the good boxing is these days. It certainly can't hurt to advertise and televise some of the **** going on there. Calderon-Segura was an HBO worthy fight imo.

Cruiserweight and most of the lower weight class. I pay attention more to Jr featherweight to super middleweight. Lt. heavyweight and heavyweight when there's a good fight.

At least these "Children" have the balls that the big guys of the sport dont have, since all the smaller fighters are willing to fight each other...Can't say the same for the HWs who are too afraid to get in the ring with the Klits.

How can one really call themselves a boxing fan if they refuse to watch a certain division because the fighters are simply not big enough. That is ridiculous.

being as how I dont get to watch a lot of boxing these days, I will pretty much watch any weight class, but I'm not enamoured with watching HW's overall, despite the fact that to a casual fan, they are generally the biggest draws
TBH my fave weight classes are 130,135,140, 147, and 154
