What is your indication that the two pounds made Canelo weight drained? What was it you clearly saw suggesting weight draining? I mean, other than the knowledge he didn't weigh in at 154. Your problem is you try way too much to apply what went to some other fighter, and just fit it in to your canelo narrative. And FFS Shadow... floyd did not receive a pass for that at the time. He got **** on a lot by posters. You weren't a poster here, so how do you even suggest that he got a pass? Did you research the threads?
His appearance at the weigh in, he did not look his usual self, extremely thin and drained looking. It was obvious he really had to struggle to make 152. I wasn't a poster here? Check my join date.
You, of all people, see what you want. Two pounds won't make much a difference unless one is already having trouble w/ the full weight. He stuck at 154 for another three years. my bad
You are searching for a logical answer to why boxing fans think a certain way, the kind of way that doesn’t involve logic. What you’re doing is the same as looking for darkness using a torch. Can’t be done.
Canelo gets beat by Floyd, GGG and Lara and people expect him to beat Beterbiev now? They must be taking the tainted drugs that Canelo "accidently" took when he got busted in 2018
I'm sort of on the fence on whether or not I consider Canelo undefeated. On the one hand we should priase Maywather's performance that night he fought at a very high level and I think we can all agree that he did enough to win the decision. But there's also a layer of controversy surrounding the bout and the advantages that Mayweather had, due to the catchweight and many other factors that had the decked stacked against Canelo. A lot of the same things that fans criticize Canelo and other fighters for are really more justifiable and fair than what happened when Mayweather fought Canelo. Like the catchweight of 155 for Khan, complain all you want, but if that was at a higher weight like 160 like many of you claimed should happen since Canelo was MW Champ (as GGG did with Brook, etc) then it would only have stacked the deck more in favor of Canelo and would put Khan at a greater weight disadvantage. Making Canelo come down to 155 helped Khan and gave him a better chance than if Canelo was allowed to weigh in at 160 like GGG was when he fought Brook. You just look at GGG vs Brook and compare that to Canelo vs Khan, Canelo was more fair to the smaller fighter coming up in weight than GGG was, he actually cut weight to make it more of a level playing field and he gets criticized for it. If anything Canelo should be praised for such efforts to cut weight to make fights fairer vs smaller fighters coming up.
I'm on the fence whether to call you a silly ****ing moron. I probably won't call you a silly ****ing moron though.
One of those fights involved a fighter chinny at 140 FFS! Not to mention, 3G v Brook was a last minute replacement fight. canelo v Khan was fight canelo went after. You can't be this dumb....
Hahaha Canelo "went after" Khan did he? Didn't you know that it was Khan that surprised GBP by calling them interested in fighting Canelo when Canelo was trying to make the match with Beefy Smith?
Yes, he went after him. Make a fuss and big deal out of phrasing if you need to feel better about it. Khan v canelo was a full fledged fight w/ their full training camps INTENDED on fighting one another. You know the difference, but my all means, be obtuse about it all...
You claiming that Canelo "went after" Khan is not only laughable but what is there to support that claim? If I recall, according to GBP Khan wasn't even on the radar and Khan called them. If you remember Khan had been trying to get Mayweather to fight him and when it became clear that Mayweather wasn't interested, Khan then sought out Canelo. It was a total shock to most people when it was announced.
FFS... here we go again. Make a fuss over phrasing. You cry over what other people say more than ANYONE on this board. Hence you're ridiculous attempt to paint Canelo as undefeated. Anyone with a brain saw that this fight was a waste of time, regardless if Khan wanted it. And please...Khan calling out anyone isn't justification to take it. It was a money grab versus a chinny fighter. THAT'S Why Canelo accepted/went after Khan. now please, make a HUGE fuss over this as well why don't ya....
Khan demanded 155 as the aside and Canelo had to concede. Canelo deserves no negativity for dancing to the tune of name fighter.
