Are there many boxers who started age 23 and over?

    Are there many? av just started the rocky marciano book and he was 23, just wanted to know if that was considerd old in boxing?

    I understand that Ken Norton just started boxing as an amateur when he was 20, and became professional when he was 23 or 24

    Nate Campbell first trained when he was 26 I think.

    Ron Lyle was 30 when he turned pro, had very little amateur experience i believe

    I think Mr. Lyle did rather well for himself, being a late bloomer.

    Leon Spinks was 24 when he turned pro. He had a good amateur career tho..

    Any champion in history could have started after the age of 25 and still been successful.
