Another thing I find odd is people saying hes "arrogant" Yet Froch is 10x as arrogant and widely loved!
I always liked Amir, recently I don't know why he is not humble. I liked him more before his last loss since after his last loss his attitude was not that great. I still like Amir but I wish he was humble. And he is so much better than Garcia or Peterson-Those should have been easy fights. And he is not a humble guy after a loss, and he should be so that he is open for learning. When a fighter says after a loss I messed up and I have to change my style, he usually does. Amir's speed is incredible. If he only had the discipline to use the beautiful speed to jab and set up punches he would have been like Sugar Ray Leonard or Thomas Hearns, but he doesn't have the mindset of a great fighter. No patience. One thing is having heart to go for it, but another is just being reckless and thinking you can knock out anyone without a fightplan. He reminds me of Jermaine Taylor, great speed but never a fightplan so that when the fight got deep there was not much defense and Jermaine got stopped also. Amir (like Jermaine) is not a huge puncher, but his speed makes him effective. If he only slowed the pace down and used a jab. He could beat almost anyone. And I think that is why people get upset. You see guys like Gatti or even Hatton who fight with heart and are overachievers yet not with Amir Khan's talent, and then Amir who has such great gifts and doesn't want to put everything into utilizing those gifts. That is why I get upset with him. I still like him.
Because you can tell Froch has taken decent speed and ability and done the most with it. Amir has taken incredible speed and ability and lost to guys like Garcia and Peterson, who are not near his skill level.
Been to 2 Khan fights (Maidana and Zab) even though hes NOT in my p4p list hes probably my 2nd fave fighter to watch. Im even thinking about making the trip to LA this weekend for the fight. Hes a fun fighter plus I like talking **** to his fans at the fights even though im secretly rooting for him.
A great talent, has got a top class new trainer, he will be back to the top again. Amazing speed, exciting fights, what's not to like.
Why dislike him? He challenges himself, is usually in good fights, and when there's been setbacks he's shown determination in bouncing back.
I like Khan. His fights are entertaining and he's not afraid to fight top fighters. Would be nice if all fighters did the same. I don't know much about him outside of the ring but the little I do he seems fine outside the ring as well.
Huge fan Khan has PFP level ability. Remember when Wlad lost to Brewster and Sanders Khan is at that same point know and hes come back to the top like Wlad did Bradley you are gonna get it. Khan is gonna inflict serious damage to Bradley now that he got rid of the worst trainer in boxing
I agree with this to some extent. I think with the right adjustments he can still potentially get to the top but unlike Wlad he's got tougher competition to deal with it.
He's got underrated skills, blistering handspeed, and an aura of vulnerability to him. He's a talented young man with time to grow, I think he's going to get better. Always had my eye on him to be something special, even when people were focusing on his flaws and losses.
