Are there really people who consider this as a 'good' win for Cotto?

you thought he showed serious signs of decline in the chavez fight? yes he got rocked and had to hang on....but for 11 rounds he was having his way

 

Two to one underdog dominates and then stops the legitimate middleweight champ. Sounds like a good win to me. :hi:

To me, there's a difference between being old/shot and having a physical limitation that completely hampers everything you do. Sergio was the latter. You mean to tell me most 154 and 160 lb fighters don't beat Sergio of last night also? The guy was fighting with one leg.

 

Hell yeah, it was a GREAT WIN. The way he did it too was awesome, what more can you ask for.

Looked to me like Martinez's legs were fine, he was moving around a lot. He just kept getting clipped with the left hook.

 

The first 2 knockdowns the punches were more like grazing shots and Sergio had trouble just moving around the ring. He was an easy target.

 

Highly significant, historical win. But a win without doubts, not so much. El ***y Serg was done.

 

Excellent comparison IMO. The winners looked spectacular, while the losers looked old and shot. Still great wins for Pac and Cotto, but lessened by the terrible performances of their opponents. Spot on.
