Are there too many fathers ruining their son's careers nowadays?

Fathers need to treat their sons like an adult when they're in the role of trainers, the man taking the beating in the ring isn't the same kid who used to fill up the diapers anymore.

Knowing when to take a step back is very important, I don't doubt for a second that most of these fathers are the reason for developing the majority of their ward's game but after a certain time it's important to retire from the job unless your name is Enzo or Mayweather Sr.

    I’d probably add
I would probably add Len Woodhall thought he did a good job with his son, I also think Jose Morales did a decent job with Erik.

I think it depends on the relationship the fighter has with their son as well.

Whenever you do something weird to get to the top, it always ends up being your undoing. But you wouldn't have gotten there any other way so it's probably worth it.

Hard to separate the ones who are jackasses but reasonable fathers and trainers from the ones who are complete leaches. Danny Garcia could have been co-trained by Manny Steward and Angelo Dundee he was always going to lose to Errol Spence, may as well keep the losing payday in the family.

Kenny Porter joined Team Jackass after the Crawford fight.

Inoue Sr. is doing pretty good, all things considered.
