    IIRC (always a risky proposition), Ken Norton always wore blue ... not sure why, though I believe he was a big proponent of positive thinking - blue may have been his "power" color. Against Quarry and Bobick, sure - vs Norton and Shavers and Cooney, not so much.

    Power color, maybe. Blue or black. Always velvet, not satin. Early on he sometimes wore white with presumably black stripes and waist.

    I know in the fifties boxers typically wore white and black or black and white, with the champion usually taking the white.

    But how are decisions made? Did Patterson and Johansson both choose to wear black in fight #3 because when they wore that color in the previous fights, they won?

    Or how about Marciano wearing black & Charles wearing white for both fights? I can't differentiate photos between the fights unless I see Marciano's nose injury.
