yes you're right. but the flip side is that he's big enough to stand there to begin with.

no matter what a fighter says for the sake of PR at the top end he's testing himself.

A whole lotta hate in here! hahaha . . . this as all questions on here are is a loaded question. As boxing skill go PBF and Sweet Pea are in the list with Bhop and perhaps Toney. As for superior skill set the bottom three are on that list and a whole host of others could fit the fourth spot. As warriors go JCC is on the list but not the others. I am a fan of all the fighters on the list but to be honest if anyone is on the verge of falling off it is JCC. Pernel, despite the score cards, made him look like an rookie (and oscar too) and Taylor had him clearly beat before the late stoppage (in a such a high stake match it should have went the distance and in those days it usually would have). I would be tempted to replace him with MAB or Eric M. or Bhop

good debate guys. one can really learn something when a thread isnt littered with "nuff said" and "deal with it" or 1000 emoticons per page. not much i can add to what has already been said so keep on educating.

Strong word. The first was very good and the second fight Oscar won, but did not get the nod. Anyone that got close to dominating Mosley was Winky.

ok im responding to some people who replied back to me-----my comeback is, who has hopkins really beat?? he lost to rjj. rjj handled him pretty easily with a damaged hand! that was hes main competition....he has wins over some big names in some ridiculous catch weight match ups. And hes lost TWICE to taylor. Im not downgrading taylor but you lose twice to the same fighter...Floyd to me is way ahead as a fighter. In fact i think floyd could be one of the greatest fighters ever. But we know what he needs to do to really prove that.

How did he take more chances? Bernard fought them all. Tito, Jones,Wright,Pavlik,Taylor,Tarver etc etc and his middleweight reign. Mayweather does not fight the best. You cannot make someone great because you want it to be true. He has to fight the best and beat the best. What is Floyd's highlight film?

Bernard Hopkins best wins are against guys smaller then he was. Trinidad, De La Hoya, were ****ing welters. Pavlik was a middle weight. Winky Wright was a middleweight. He also lost to Calzaghe, Jones and friggin Jermain Taylor who we know now is nothing special.

Floyd Mayweather beat the best at 130. Virtually cleaned the division out.

Beat the best 135lber in the world in Castillo

Beat the best 140lb fighter in the world in Hatton

Beat who many considered at the time the best light middeweight Oscar De La Hoya

    18-0 in title fights

6 belts 5 division champion undefeated.

    Nuff said.

Its hilarious how Floyd haters talk about Floyd fighting Marquez, when Bernard took the smaller fighters on his whole career. He was always the bigger man.

    Bernard Hopkins
    Lennox Lewis

Yes, and let's people rank him by imaginative fights rather than real fights. Resumes Resumes Resuimes. That is all there is and Floyd falls short every time.

 How does Floyds resume fall short? He beat the best fighter in 3 weight divisions. He won a title against the lineal champ at a 5th weight class. There is not one fighter who has gone 5 divisions without a loss. Not one fighter who can boast 18-0 title fights. You're deluded. You list Oscar and Tito who basically both lost their biggest fights and say MAyweather falls short? Please.

    Their biggest fights?

    Ha ha.

Mayweather won't even FACE his biggest fights. The **** comes back to face little Marquez instead of the man who took his p4p #1 ranking and who in my opinion is faster and more dangerous than Marquez. Again, Mayweather took a fight he thought he can win and I only hope the tables are turned cuz that would be poetic justice up the ass.

prime Tito and prime Hoya > Corrales, Castillo, Gatti (ha ha, that spent force Hoya had destroyed years before), Judah, and that other lineal champ who's name is so hard to remember sometimes cuz he was a lineal nobody; what his face? oh yeah, Baldomir.
