Ward isn't avoided. He's too inactive to be avoided.

Beterbiev isn't avoided. He was supposed to fight Chilemba, but I think it was his team that didn't want to take the fight. (I think it had to do with the Gaymon signing).

Kovalev isn't avoided. Just Stevenson who ducked him originally, but Kovalev has no problem getting the fights he wants.

Andrade is by no means avoided. Lara wanted to face him, and it was he who backed out of the Charlo fight.

Thurman isn't at all avoided. Gaymon is the one holding him back like he did with Santa Cruz. Gaymon could've easily matched him with Porter instead of trying to feed Porter to Broner. We're getting poorly managed confused with avoided here.

    I'd say:

Francisco Vargas. He hasn't had a shot at any of the titlist even after getting a string of good wins. Instead of fighting Vargas, Figueroa fights his left-overs, Belmontes. Guy has to get into a mandatory spot in order to get his shot.

Guillermo Rigondeaux. All three titlists don't want to fight him, sad.

Gennady Golovkin. No one at middleweight wants to fight this guy.

I can't name anyone else that is so blatantly avoided like these three.

Yeah fair enough I do agree with their management holding them back and waiting for right time to let them fight top fighters, but their performances must not help with the negotiations to get a fighter to fight them.

Roman Gonzalez will be next year when he keeps winning and moves up another division and wins another world title to add to collection, he is pure class!

Rigo for sure, as said the risk/reward ratio to fight him is so far out of line, even worse at the lighter weights that traditionally garner less attention. His style isn't one that attracts casual fans so he seems destined to remain avoided for now at least. :verysad

Ward was in a similar spot but S6 spotlight and a more accessible weight class got him into a position to get decent fights. His injuries, inactivity and unrealistic sense of self worth have put him back in a postion where he will struggle to get big fights unless he makes some concessions.

GGG is a funny one. Normally a fighter with his style and KO rate can force themselves into the equation by gaining a fanbase and some belts thereby being unavoidable as they are the cash cow of the division. He is just very unfortunate that all the decent name fighters around him are some of the handful of fighters who are even bigger draws than he is. Feels to me like a matter of time though before one of these guys (Cotto, Canelo, Froch etc) will have to take him on, if he wins then he becomes the draw and will have no problem making fights.
