Elite MMA fighters if anything are more elite than the top echelon of boxer's thats just my opinion

And the reason for that is simple , there are more ways to lose an MMA fight than in boxing , therefore you need world class skills in 3 area's , striking , wrestling , and JJ , or you need to be able to combine the 3 to a world class standard (in terms of MMA) , then you have to fuse the 3 to develop an effective style as a mixed martial artist

In boxing it basically boils down to how your schooled and perseverance , if your well schooled in a good ama club and box at national level , its just a case of sticking with it and learning what you can along the way to an Olympic shot , moving onto the pro ranks and developing a pro style

There's just so much more you have to do be an elite MMA fighter
