I think that the pair of these fighters are showing signs mentally that the hunger has gone, in the case of AJ I think that in a fight when it gets tough he actually is prone to quitting too and he is now lazy in training camps. Robert Garcia said that AJ is lazy, Carl Froch is on record say Robert McCraken couldn't get AJ to do his runs. Joshua is getting beaten by Wallin, he will probably get the decision but not deserve it to set up the Wilder fight then he's toast. I was at the Wild Card gym last week talking to Freddie Roach and he told me a few home truths about Tyson Fury when he was training him. Let's just say maybe Paris isn't the only woman in his life. Anyway to me Fury looked like he was having a meltdown at the Usyk press conference. He looks like he doubts himself. Could be a good thing Could be a bad thing, I expect to see a better version vs Usyk but I'm still making Usyk the favorite for now. Thing is with Fury I have seen him rebound before. I'm confused. When has AJ quit? He avenged his loss to Ruiz with a clear and wide win and lost to the guy most here are calling the most skilled HW in ages in Usyk, with him performing better in the rematch despite the loss. He didn't start great against Helenius, but closed the show mid fight. I can agree Aj's more cautious now, but that hadn't stopped two other giants in Lewis and Wlad from success after KO defeats. Just feels like everyone is way too quick to write AJ off.
Its known trick for get some times not quit. He was schocked and trying find some extra seconds. It was not quit. Just panic. In thread case I think Joshua none od them are "broken Man" Joshua is just on new part of his journey where he must find himself at new place where he is not numero uno. Fury? Fury got all what he need to be still hungry but he is just... Fury. He must do some trouble again and again. He is no broken. He is just in position where he must give world extra risk fight. He dont like it.
Brokeback Mountains starring Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua Fury and Femi are two boxers who develop a heterosexual and emotional relationship. However, their relationship becomes complicated when both of them fight their respective former opponents.
Johnny Nelson has also been on record questioning Ajs commitment One guy is a very poor man's mike Tyson and the other is a very poor imitation of Ali Usyk is by far the most committed of the 3 and as far as I can see the best bloke
In the case of Lewis and Wlad, though, they were fighters in their prime who got caught/blitzed. They bounced back quickly. AJ simply hasn't looked the man he was after Ruiz stopped him. But I do agree with you that he hasn't quit. Or at least not the way I define "quit". Dubois letting himself get counted out after he got tired and Usyk landed a hard jab is an example of quitting. Giving up on your stool when your corner hasn't thrown in the towel (e.g. Tor Hamer against Ruiz and Glazkov) - that's quitting. Losing a wide UD as Joshua has twice against Usyk, failing to put away Jermaine Franklin, and making a seven-course dinner out of Robert Helenius isn't quitting. But it is decline.
Lack of commitment & confidence could definitely be an issue. But I haven't seen AJ "quit" outright in the ring, which I define to be letting yourself get counted out when you should be able to continue (e.g. Dubois) or giving up on your stool when your corner hasn't stopped the fight.
True. Time is running out for AJ, but i'm still not too quick to count him out. Not with this sad shape HW division.
AJ broke by getting KO’D by Ruiz and outclassed by Usyk 2x Fury broke by too much cocaine and mental illness
