Are UK fights funner to watch than US?

I'd say UK fans are much more vocal/passionate than US fans, but you can't beat a big fight in Vegas for atmosphere and for the pure theatre. Plus the afterparties/casinos are much more fun than getting on a packed tube at Wembley.

 

No. That Vegas atmosphere is unmatched. Ask Calzaghe lol...

 

Atmospheres are different, chants are fine but the songs sound stupid to me. Then again I'm an introvert, I'd rather watch at home with the speakers on blast.

 

Depends of the fighter. The UK ones seem to be more loved than the ones in USA. You can tell the difference because almost everyone from UK supports their top fighters ( except for Price or Khan ). In USA there are many haters of Mayweather for example. Recently I feel that UK provides a far better boxing scene and undercards.

 

As a UK fan, the commentary isn't great but one thing I will say is I think UK fights just have more passion than most. Nothing worse than staying up half the night to watch a US fight with a flat crowd with no atmosphere.

 

I have long felt British boxing is more exciting than US boxing. I'm not going to get into the commentary. Every broadcast is different. I just prefer the styles. When I started trading boxing tapes with people in England 25 years ago, I immediately noticed how much more exciting even the undercard fights were. Their styles in England are more straight up and the fighters traditionally are more willing to get into slugfests. In the U.S., fighters in general seem more content to win decisions.

I can't count the number of U.S. fighters I've seen in 40 years of watching boxing who just wasted everyone's time jabbing and moving and holding and just looking from the start to win on points ... regardless of how dull their performance may be to the viewer.

In England, the boxing matches seem more like classic boxing with an intent to win by stoppage.

im pretty sure any opponent of Joshua's feels mega intimidated when they hear the majority of the fans/stadium chanting "ooooooooooooooooooooohhhhh anthnoy jooooshua"

the UK fans are the best!
they appreciate their own fighters. it is a small nation in relation to some countries afterall

 

Yes Brits are very entertaining , mostly because of their glass chins.

 

US fans are all the way live! Live DJ, rowdy fans, and cheer for who ever starts to win even when the favorite isn't looking too good. U.K. fans get up and clap, sing a song, sit down and just scream bollocks if anything isn't par for the course.

Definatly better competitve matches overall in the U.K.i like both sides of commenting as it gives you different views..maybe a little more insight with the U.S but they also tend to exaggerate or call shots that arent landing....

Been to a few events both sides and in Europe. USA needs to pick there game up on atmosphere not just in boxing, been to a few NBA games and Europe shits all over it. I was over in Vegas for a card few years ago, had kids and adults in the crowd with headphones in playing on iPads. Jeez. Do however agree watching it at home USA commentary much better.
